Got booted on the room reset, frantically reset everything in the house, come back to room... Race started, Lap 2. I would have been happy to start from the rear. Thanks for waiting.
Jim I'm sorry mate, we waited for you, you were signing in and out and the last time you signed in was at the end of qualy and so I said ok we will wait for him, so we did and you went offline again so I started the race, after all we did wait.
Apologies to everyone I hit. After 10 laps, I got incredibly bored and it just fell to crud. Then I started falling asleep at the wheel. Only been up for 10 hours at that point too.
Wasn't expecting much from tonight, qualified sixth. Coming into Turn 2, I was following Watto and he must have bumped Mike who went wide, so he slowed to redress. I was right up his boot and got baulked a little bit, allowing everyone on the inside to get through. Soon after though I found myself in 4th for a few laps as others made mistakes. But then around lap 10, it all started to fall apart and my own mistakes crept in losing more and more time. Finished 8th out of 9 finishers. Blah, glad this track is done. I feel a little more comfortable at Midfield. Gratz to WTF on the win and grassies and flood for the podium.
Disappointing for you Jim, understand your frustration. HOWEVER, can i recommend that in future if this type of thing happens that the host messages the driver that gets kicked on the PSN and attempt to make contact and then they can let everyone know whats happening. This is what we have done in the past in the div 2 rooms. No way is perfect, but if its just a reset for the kicked driver then everyone knows and it gives the driver a chance to return to the lobby, albeit starting at the rear of grid. If they disconnect again i think its reasonable to start the race after that. (we have even restarted if a driver has been kicked on the first lap, all exit the lobby and then rejoin the track in qual order). Perhaps before the race start if there is a dodgy connection somewhere there is a general agreement of what might happen if someone gets booted..... A tough one, for sure...... jim will be allocated points for last position.
I'm just saying we did try and wait for you to come back. It wasn't like we all said "screw him, lets just go". I understand the frustration, mate i really do, but we did wait.
Yeah sorry Jim, but as WTF_MAN said we finished quali and were parked waiting for you only to see you go offline again. We had to make a call. I noticed that you were able to join after Pughiez had quit on lap 1, so there may have been some connection conflict there while he was in the room.
Div 3 Brands Hatch Results Jim gets points for 10th Pughiez quit lap 1, no lap time recorded Pole went to WTF_MAN I don't have race times sorry @emmo46 some one else might. I'll try to remember them next time.
I would just like to clarify that this was due to personal reasons, and not due to any on field drama
I understand the need to start the race, at a decent time, and I thank you guys for waiting for me. Just massively disappointed to have missed out on Rnd 1, after not being so great previously at Brands, I'd done a heap of practice and actually had a good feeling going into the race.
