Thought I would make a topic for all Gt academy stuff.

Also can update OP with events or training people are doing who can team up with other Roozers like Karting, Running, cycling etc.

    From my end:

    * Team of 4 racing at GC karts in a 5 Hour and 40 Min Enduro 28th June(Me, Mint, Pringles, Fastboy)
    * Possible running group at Parramatta Park on Saturdays(Me, Skywalker plus any sydney siders who want in).
*Team of 3 for Sydney Ultimate Karting Enduro series(Me ?)

    Great thread mate.

Erm, I'll join the running group if you want to get a good laugh out of watching an unfit asthmatic fall over every 100m lol

For the karting, what are the costs involved?

I Think it's $60 every Fortnight that you race.

I'd be keen for the karting. $60 seems very reasonable. Heck costs me more that to take my own kart to Eastern Creek for private practice.

Always considered myself good in these cars, guess its time to prove it! Cant wait to compare it to its more powerful brother which im hoping we get soon. Really expected it to be used for GT Academy to be honest. Unless Round 3 is the P2, round 4 the P1???

I know right! We go to picton for private kart practice now. Great little track, nice run-off area for first corner after the main straight power slides!!!

Only been to picton once, but the heavy braking through the chicane and the hair pins in the first sector were a whole lot of fun! Bit hectic with 30 karts running round though!

Hey guys, I was just wondering whether someone once GT Academy launches could post the Terms and Conditions? I was extremely miffed last year to find I wasn't eligible as I'm on my P plate licence in Queensland. So I stopped after Round1.

Well your going to be disappointed because all you needed was your p plates.

That's not at all what I read. Someone posted the Terms and Conditions for Australia, and I read that you need a full licence. And of course, I'm not wishing to start an argument. I'm just very certain that that is what I read.

Regardless, I'm hardly disappointed, because that means I can try again in a few days time. That's GOOD news, lol.

We'll see. Everywhere I read that you need a full licence.

    Direct quote from you Mus:

"Minimum age in Australia is 20 then as you need Full License, which means I would of been ineligible for 2010 anyway as I was 19.

Some people are going to be very disappointed with this lol.

Haha, you were literally the authority on requiring a full licence, and now you say you don't. What happened to make you change your mind? Haha.

That was before any of us even knew some of us (or them, I wasn't there lol) made it to Melbourne.
I was annoyed too as I thought I'd have to wait until around 2017/8 to be eligible, but Mustafur told me
you only needed your P's after it was all said and done in Melbourne. I might not be eligible on a suspended licence lol

Yeah 3 guys would went to Silverstone were P platers. From memory you have to be 18 though, but as long as your 18 and off your L's you'd be right :)

The issue is, that its a copy paste from the UK comp and their licence system is different to ours.

T&Cs came up upon entering the last round... so guess we'll have to wait and see what the go is this time round!

And you may need your greens as you have automatic red plates.

Pretty sure that's only a NSW thing Mustafur.

As long as you able to drive a car by yourself (legally) and are 18 and over you will be fine.
