    And a tip Serg, you need to ensure you have everyone's custom skins installed on your PC to be able to see them on-track...otherwise you'll just see white (or coloured) cars ;)

    Tip for matte paints: create a file with the same name as your skin file suffic _MAP e.g. CarPaint_map.dds
    Fill this with colour.. I think the more opaque you make that fill, the more matte the finish. 100% = full matte, add some transparency to make it less matte.

    Leave on the occlusion layer of your skin when you export from and turn up the contrast etc. to get stronger paint reflections like Tovey's above.

    should occlusion be on the top layer? scrap that just tried it looks so much better lol heres mine for next week lol

    Yea I'm just learning (mostly from Tovey), there's so much to remember. :confused: Which is why I'm writing it down here :p

    But it seems that if you turn the occlusion layer off when you export, you will get a look most like a vinyl wrap, sort of satin finish with only dull reflections - like Cybers' rusty skin above and my 458 shark skin was done this way too.

    Turn it on and it will lift the contrast of the reflected light making the surface seem more reflective. Turn up the contrast on the occlusion layer and you get that almost chrome look (very bright reflections and deep contrasting darks) that Tovey has achieved in the black SLS above. :eek:

    Just curious. I'm a bit of a brand whore and have some crazy concepts about sponsors I'd like to see on cars and the like. Some brand logos just scream out to be placed on race cars...what better place? :)
    Just need to get my editing skills up to scratch and find some time and patience!

    I've uploaded my Evora GTC skin. Decided to keep it minimalistic this week.

    I threw in a couple of extra Occlusion layers which seems to give it a nice sheen :)
