    Bought AC when it went for a daily deal on steam a few days ago and I gotta say I'm having a great time playing it albeit taking me a while to wrap my head around it. Throwing the Z4 GT3 around Imola's kerbs is so much fun! I tried iRacing for three months earlier this year and I could never understand the handling model properly - to me it felt like I was skating on ice, but with AC I feel far more planted to the road and I have a lot more confidence in the cars (not to mention I don't have to spend $400 to buy all of the content!). Though to be fair to iRacing I didn't play it as often as I should have - I got frustrated with the handling far too easily . If you're still interested in trying it out it's sitting at $36USD on steam at the moment, but there might be a chance that it gets a further discount as a flash sale or community choice. (I bought it for $30USD).

    Yep. Indeed. Driving that Lotus 125 around Nurburg GP is by far the most fun and balanced feeling F1 simulation I've played.
    Love watching that inside front wheel slip in braking zones.

    Just found this when searching for how to make custom cameras.... photomode, awesome! you can even change the time of day and position of the sun in photomode, regardless of the race time setting. Will have to play around with this and get some better screen shots!



    To 'unlock' this you have to open
    Program Files(x86)*\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\assetto_corsa.cfg
    (*or whereever your steam installation resides)
    find the lines of code below and change the 0 to a 1.
    Code:
    [AC_APPS]
ENABLE_DEV_APPS=0
    Then select photomode from ingame apps menu (RHS of screen with HUD element options).

    Nothing wrong with that ... Opeth are quite simply the best ... esp. 'My Arms ...' > 'Deliverence'. The new album is finished apparently, no idea when it'll be released though. The drifting wasn't bad either ... ;)

    Yea the audio track was put in during editing so that's good quality. Engine sounds came out a bit tinny though.

    Geez FRAPS makes massive files! At the 30 second limit of the freeware version, files of replays from AC were 1.2GB!!! :eek:
    So I had a wee play with bandicam.
    It's not quite as smooth as FRAPS and the freeware watermark is larger, but the freeware version lets you record up to 10 minutes and the file sizes are much smaller, 1/10th that of FRAPS, at <500MB for 2mins on the default settings.
    I just covered the watermark with something else during editing :p
