    Add your thoughts here guys.
We will definitely be running NON TUNE, with a view to having pit stops, tyre wear and fuel burn on....

I know that @v8power383 had a list of cars to try out and consider....
The Sierra RS500 in PC1 was a fantastic season, but is a completely different drive in PC2....keep that sort of change in mind ;)

Personally, i think something a little slower with a little less grip would be a good choice, but haven't really driven enough of them after the patch to know what will or could work....

Have also added a poll to get a feel of what people want, however i think i know the answer to this before i start !

    New entry thread here

1st and foremost, I'm less concerned about the specific car we go for, or even the overall speed and grip. Balance is the most important factor to me and how the car responds to steering, brake and throttle input.

    Ideal criteria:
    • Front end that wants to turn in
    • Rear end that is loose enough to not understeer under power, but not so bad that it wants to drift like crazy on turn in.
    • Engine with enough torque and throttle response to reward good control with the right foot (with the occasional need for some opposite lock if you get a bit too adventurous)
In a nutshell I prefer a car that is rear-grip limited, not front-grip limited.

On that front I personally found the BMW M1's front end to push a bit more than I would like, not as bad as the Renault, but still a very similar handling style.

3 examples of cars that fit the bill.

The bumpy, off camber right hander at Longbeach is very good and finding weaknesses in a car setup. Only took a few laps to get very comfortable in all 3 of these cars.

That Mercedes looks to have some attitude.
Any one tested any good road cars for a change?

This poll is pointless. For a start there is far more race cars in the game than there is road cars (149 to 45). So even if the average road car was equally as good to drive as your average race car (which it's not) you would still expect race cars to receive 3 times the vote of road cars. This is why in 9 seasons of Project Cars not one season has been in a road car. I would simply be taking suggestions of specific cars and forming a shortlist to vote on. The Caterham Seven 620R needs a chance of becoming the season car.

Yeah, the Merc is a beast, is fun to drive and that engine sound won't get old. I hope it can be a contender.

I quite enjoyed the Beamer despite it giving me a tough time didn't really seem to come to grips with even with no throttle on corners and taking them slow as :):):):) the ass end would always get loose on me tbh. I'm sure in time I'll get the hang of it its a fun car in saying that the Merc benny mentioned is a good car also :)

the issue there was track temp and the off camber corners....is a notorious track for losing the rear regardless of the car...if you get one to hook up there, it will stick on any track !

Did some laps last night in the Group A M3 and agree it is very good, I would much prefer it to the M1 on account of it's chassis balance.

Did anyone else get the new DLC fun pack? The new buggy is insane!
