Hi all, Trying to come up with a time format for round 2, that suits us all as best as possible. What do you guys think of this initial time format. P1. 08:00 (05:00wa) 80m Q1. 09:20 (06:20wa) 2lap/10min R1. 09:30 (06:30wa) 25min -----5min Break----- P2. 10:00 (07:00wa) 10min Q2. 10:10 (07:10wa) 2lap/5min R2. 10:15 (07:15wa) 30min All up this would give us 15 minutes of rest in between races. Personally I would prefer to have more time in between the races, but when trying to fit 2 races with separate Q sessions into the same night, with 3 hour time difference between east and west coast, it's just getting a little late for the eastern state guys that have to work the next morning. It's a shame we can't use the finishing order of the previous race to determine the starting grid of race two when using "league". Alternatively, we could consider running shorter races and have a bigger break in between. Or we could consider running one longer race instead of the two. The two race formula is good for club rounds because it gives everyone a chance of redemption if they screw up the first race. I would be happy with 1 bigger race, however it can become boring for those who make mistakes, or aren't on the pace. Cheers
5pm might be a bit too early for WA people to get home from work, of course they can just join at qualifying time and do their practice prior to the day. I'm happy to finish around midnight, so starting later is fine with me. But I have pretty flexible work hours, this may no be the case with everyone else.
Yeah of course 5pm is early for western states. But at least they can practice early like you say. I also don't mind if we go later, but others might not.
Looks pretty good. 6:20 qual start should be OK. Ordinarily couldn't be home before 6:30ish on a Tues, but for once a month I'm sure I can get home earlier Hopefully be able to make it on before 6pm and maybe fit in some practise before hand...
Hey Beau, is it ok if I invite a workmate to race tonight? Leigh Higgins. He got me into iRacing and ive been hassling him to join ROOZ. He is a great bloke, a fair racer, and regretably, a faster driver.
I will be bowing out tonight guys. I have enjoyed iRacing and it definitely has potential for me. The fact remains I am a busy man, and iRacing demands more time than I am prepared to sacrifice at this point in time. So this makes it an expense I do not wish to carry at the moment. Where as with GT5 I can pick it up, and put it down when it is convenient with no on-going costs like iRacing. I am happy with the amount of workload I have with modding here, and running Div 4/Karts etc... So I thank everyone for the few races and sessions I have had, and I hope to make it back one day, maybe when the kids can look after themselves
i have two choices with the pontiac - a rookie version and a non rookie version? are they the same car, can i use either? does it really matter lol?
Ok just for you, I will make this my going away party Who knows, I may win the voucher and have to keep racing
Beanie, You can use the Non-Rookie version. What number will you be running on your car? Just so I can update the entrant list. Cheers
Looking forward to this. Will be rocking up with zero practise, in fact zero seat time for iRacing for the last week, so hopefully can get home early enough to capitalise on the longer prac session. Will be good to have a couple of new faces on the track.
