[COMPLETE] ROOZ Season 3

After an inter-season break that has stretched far too long, it’s time to get back on the track. The AC division of ROOZ is happy to announce Season 3 is kicking off Monday the 17th of August. There will be 6 rounds, 2 categories and 4 teams!!


Category 1 is the jewel in the crown of the last DLC pack, the Toyota GT86. What a sweet car this is. There will be 3 races in these cars at Thruxton, Zolder and Mid-America Motoplex. Races will be around the 45 min mark and a pit stop is mandatory. New this season will be introduction of a success ballast system, so we will be seeing some close racing for sure.


Category 2 will be run using the fantastic URD EGT Cars. There are 6 cars in this pack that are all closely matched and superb fun to drive. We will be tearing up tyres around The Salzburgring, Road America and Spa. Races will be set up similar to Category 1 including the success ballast system.


The biggest change this season is the introduction of teams. This will be one of the more difficult aspects of the season to get set up, so I am trying to get number sorted as soon as I can. The server can hold 24 drivers, so the first 24 names get a place on the grid - where’s yours??

26 Laps. Fuel burn @ 200%, tyre wear @ 150%, damage @ 50%.

Round 3. Toyota GT86
31/08/2015 - Mid-America Motoplexopolis 89.5
25 Laps. Fuel burn @ 200%, tyre wear @ 150%, damage @ 50%.

Round 4. URD EGT
07/09/2015 - Road 'merica!
29 Laps - Enduro baby!!. Fuel burn @ 170%, tyre wear @ 150%, damage @ 50%.

Round 5. URD EGT
14/09/2015 - Estoril 1988 Mate!
27 Laps. Fuel burn @ 230%, tyre wear @ 150%, damage @ 50%.

Round 6.
21/09/2015 - Hold the Waffles, I'll Take the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
21 Laps. Fuel burn @ 200%, tyre wear @ 150%, damage @ 50%.

All rounds will see the server open at 8.30pm. There will be 20mins of practice and 10-15mins of qualifying depending on the track being run, ie longer track = longer qual. Please let us know if cannot make a race.

The points system will be confirmed by our master of charts and graphs very soon.

Success Ballast System:

We are experimenting with a success ballast system this season, as such we are asking drivers to bear with us as we implement this new system. The aim is not to disadvantage drivers, but give us close racing given there is such a broad spread of talents within this championship.

Here is the system in it's simplest form:

First = 100kg
Second = 80kg
Third = 60 kg
Fourth = 40 kg
Fifth = 20 kg

The maximum ballast any driver can carry is 200kg. Your penalty is carried over 2 races, but will be halved if you finish outside of the top 5. Eg - Finish 2nd, carry 80kg into the next race. Then finish 3rd, carry 140kg into the next race. Then finish 6th, carry 30kg into the next race.

Yeah mate, it will be something like that. I'm just waiting to see if we will have 10, 15 or 24 drivers before I melt my brain sorting it out. But skins and team colours will be a goer for sure.
