Grrr. Something else has just come up for next Sunday so I'll need to withdraw my entry. :( Sorry @CaptainRisky21 if you've wasted any time working on a livery for me.

@apex2691 Is the race starting at 8 or is that room open time for an 8:30 start?

Race start at 8. Room open by 7.45 would be great. No qually but we should do a practice start .Thanks Emmo.

I just came across this in the 26/9/2019 update,
    IMPORTANT

The fuel consumption rate for the Gr.3 / Gr.4 cars has been adjusted.

I have not driven the car since I did the settings so I will be jumping on track tonight to see how much this has effected the lap setting which was fairly specific. I suspect I will need to adjust the laps up or down by a couple. Doubt it would be as drastic as having to change the fuel settings.

I just did a stint and the fuel consumption has dropped by at least half a lap per tank at the settings.
11 laps now requires greater fuel management, even 10 requires a fraction of management.
So I am reducing the lap count by 1 lap, for 2 reasons, 1 is a byproduct of the reduction of the 1 lap.

1/ In order to stop it being a "fuel saving" race.
2/ It opens up more pit strategy, with a 9 lap stint now possible.

Looking forward to Sunday both day and night :)

I am assuming your desire to make it a 36 lap race is because you are getting/can get 12 laps out of a tank.
I can see how dropping to 31 laps could be seen as a disadvantage to you, and possibly to others.
I also think making it 36 laps to suit a 12 lap tank driving style, would make a 2 stop viable for some, but others would have to completely compromise their driving to fuel save, or pit 3 times. This will skew the handicapping.
So I will give 2 options of lap counts, for vote, that are not perfect for the fuel saver, or the fuel burner.
If the second option wins the time handicaps will need to be increased by about 10-15%.

    Option 1/ 31 Laps
    Option 2/ 37 Laps

#Could voters please just "like" either of xlxy90 posts below to vote on the option they prefer.
    #Close poll 12pm. 10/1019.
#2 vote margin, or 8 votes needed for 37 laps to change OP.

My comment about 36 laps was tongue in cheek. My lighter fuel usage will come in to play with the amount of time I spend in the pits. I can get 11.7 laps using full mojo but can nurse it to 12 easily. I don't expect other people to have to sacrifice for my benefit so 31 laps it should be.

May have been tongue in cheek but still valid. Your lighter fuel use would not be unique, and should have reward.
Also i did the specs on the fly, I have never set up a race before, and your valid comment would I believe make the race more interesting.
The 37 laps gives the fuel saver the option to 2 stop, it also gives a plethora of options to the fuel burner on a 3 stop.
We will see if how the poll goes until late tomorrow night. A 2 vote margin, or 8 votes will be needed to change the specs to 37 laps.

If we change it to 37 laps it becomes a economy run not a race .........
    Just my opinion.......

Agree wholeheartedly with the race sentiment. The pits and I and fuel saving are enemies. Both will be races.
The option has been put forward because fuel now has to be saved anyway during race because of the update. I went out and smashed 10 laps and ran out of fuel on entry to pits.
Those who choose to save fuel as a tactic in the Mustang at 37 laps will fail miserably at Bathurst trying to stretch a tank from 10/11 to 12/13 to enable a 2 stop. Fresh SS tyres on a light fuel load would make it a very fast horse up the mountain.;)

Bathurst has been & always will be an endurance race, so if we are racing as a tribute to the real thing, then I feel economy & strategy should play a big part in it. Sometimes the underdog can have its day while up against the greyhounds if they play their cards right.
    Just sayin;)

Strategy will play a part at 31, just more at 37. Fuel saving to avoid a pit stop won't work at 37 laps.
Smooth/Smart driving will still save fuel and will save time in the pits as Emmo stated, and will be 6 laps more valuable at 37.
The whole idea of the time handicapping was to create an even race, and I challenge anyone to pick the podium or its order.
Anyone on the grid could win this race.

I can't do 13 laps so a two stopper for 37 laps is out of the question. I will go with the flow whether it is 31 or 37. All the same to me.

At 37 laps it is less of an economy run as all will have to do at least 3 stops unless they can't get one stint of 10 laps to a tank, then it will be four .
