Thought I would put a time up Quickly had a go, and my setup super basic, only played with the Diff ratio by dropping it to 4.3 left the Aero, and of course softs.. its super fun!
There's more in it.... Latter part of this was a bit scruffy, but epic fun! Can only fit it a couple of laps tonight though. Aero and BB back to stock, lower rear tyre pressure - forgot I also did the gear ratio before too.
Nice, yeah i think there is a 7:20 flat with some tinkering with bump and suspension i think! I wont be able to get on again untill tomorrow night, so ill give it another go then!
I need to get back behind the wheel. Just a thought have you guys considered this? http://www.radiators-champ.com/RSRLiveTiming/index.php?page=communityList If your cool with it I am ok to sign up a group and mirror the hotlap challenges from the forums.
http://www.radiators-champ.com/RSRL...controller_type=all&community=all&friends=all @KoAStR 7:16 seems to be the time to beat!
Ive been having a crack at this too, but keep losing the rear, or out braking myself trying to land a sub 8min lap If I do get below 8min, I'll post it . Good combo Anon
hmmmmm yeah its hard getting the braking right and not locking up without ABS. If you keep losing the rear is it in braking? or under power? try raising the diff coast up a click and the accel back one click... Also you could take one click out of the bound/rebound in the rear @S_CLOSE if I can get a 20 or sub 20 ill post a video would be a near perfect lap tho, its hard to get it all together to get that golden lap, when your pushing hard for 7 min 20!!!!
I know what you're saying rotor, my lap time was a very conservative, as I kept stuffing up somewhere. I could probably get rid of another 10 secs with my skill level, but then again, this track was always hard for me even in GT6.
These are good tips. Also it could just be braking too late! I loose the rear too if I'm not feathering off the brake before corner entry. If your de-application of brake is tending even slightly digital (too fast) just before/after initiating wheel inputs this car tends to rotate. I found a couple of PSI out of the rear tyres helped with this too. Although I would consider adding rear rebound damping instead of removing it to keep the weight from lifting off the rear too rapidly.
I have a day off tomorrow and haven't touched AC in a couple of weeks (due to moving house) so I will have a crack at this but i'm pretty sure my times will not be anywhere near what you guys are doing, but i will have fun trying
Oh snap! Might pop together a vid of this one... 6 lap session. Bet the old time first complete lap out. Then 7:20.000 on lap 3. Up on that next lap threw it off 3rd to last corner. Then up again next lap invalidated running wide through the late esses... I know there's still more in it but damn to put it all together in one lap. Setup is still pretty basic. I took the rear wing back to 1, and moved the BB forward to 77 to compensate.
I know the pain mate! haha Few times i was on for a 19 as well and threw it on the last few corners! it makes you soooooooooo mad!!! lol
