GT6 [Completed] BJH Memorial Race of Champions - season 5

Early I know but time to get the ball rolling again guys. For those of you new to the forum, this event is only open to those that win their division in the upcoming season, along with the winners of eligible events planned and run by various members before seasons end. As a general rule, boost events are not eligible.

It is a handicapped event run at one of the tracks from this season, chosen by a poll (at a later date) using the car for this season. Said handicaps are based on entrants fastest laps at that track during the season race there, with provision for improvement. I.E. Division 6 entrants will generally start first and Division 1 entrants will start from the back of the grid with the biggest handicap.

With the amount of entries being generated by many community events being held, only the winners of their respective divisions will be guaranteed their spot on the grid. All other community event winners will have to pass through a qualifying event a week prior to the main event. The winner of this event does not guarantee them selves a spot, rather the top nine drivers with the greatest lap time improvement over their season lap time will progress through to the Race of Champions. note - the times from the qualifier will not affect your handicap calculations.


There are no divisional winners, just one champion of champions, so everyone get out there and see if you can earn yourself a spot. Positions on the grid are only via a PM once race/division has been won and in some cases, confirmed by the Mod team.

I'm not going to be a Lewis Hamilton and be a stubborn tool, and plus it's the only chance I'll ever get to wear the #1 amongst such a class field! RX-7 or HSV, either way I can't wait!

Good stuff TB definetly the fairest way to allocate invites. Hopefully there is a greater proportion of lower divs this time round...... 8 div 1 was a little much .

possible 22 entrants to the qualifier means two rooms or two sessions in the one room may need to be run.

If Matterhorn is on the list and if it wins the vote @MINT_GTR's entries will all go to waste... Providing he gets in of course... Pressure is well and truly on now mate! lol

In the HTO series I was part of the Schultz Nissan team but I don't know about Oblisc perhaps confirming that with the team captain

Also I'm part of the GRT team as well as in the running for Rookie champion
So by the end I could have more tickets than Mint

Yes it was Giant slayer propping us up in the teams championship as Oblisc was a no show.

@Giant slayer You still gotta either win your division, or get through the qualifier However, Im doing my part to reduce the average time for div2, with my slow FLs

At this rate I won't be qualifying so will be looking for a host for the main event. I'll host the qualifying event but will need someone with a stable connection to host. Also will need an old hat to 'captain' the room, you up for this @N64TheStig007?
