What a night, hats off to Beau and V8 who drove amazingly quick for the entire 6 hours straight. We had a great night despite a few issues, namely blowing an engine on lap 6????? And then running out of fuel on the back straight. With the help of a couple of yellow flags we were able to restart at the back of the pack. I had an amazing battle with @v8power383 for about 5 laps after the final re start, I pushed as hard as I could sitting on his rear bumper lap after lap hoping he would make a mistake but he was too clean and consistent. I finally made a pass stick into the hairpin before the carousel for second place only to drag it along the wall at the carousel letting him straight past again. Thanks to my teammates TB and Killer for a great night and some awesome stints behind the wheel. TB went in with zero practice in the car and was running 53's by his final stint. Also congrats to the Pro State boys for sticking it out and pushing hard to the end. Kart must feel a little lost this morning with no new sig to make Thanks to v8 for organizing these enduro events, although the numbers have been pretty low it hasn't stopped us having awesome races. Hopefully we can get a few more cars on the grid in next years enduros.
Beau smashing out some awesome laps My car in flight mode with flames out the side SPL_Racing pushing hard to try and pass After the last restart some nice close racing
Who said you can't have close racing at the Nordschliefe. awesome driving v8 you gave me nothing and didn't put a foot wrong.
And to think we still had 2 hours or more until the end but you did help me find 4 seconds so thanks mate for making me push
With no practice at all heading into this event I hated my first stint getting damage on the opening two laps ruining the aero. Just couldn't get to grips with a sub standard car. Fast forward to the second stint and it was a different story. Took it easy at the start and slowly built the speed up and up, until I hit a PB of a 53.1. Really enjoyed the race to the flag. Laps 19 and 20 were heart in mouth moments putting the V8 WAY UP on two wheels at the same corner. So much so I could here SPL and Killer behind me gasping. Thanks for organizing V8. May have been small grids, but great races none the less. If you haven't tried one of these events I highly recommend it. Get out and meet you nearest Roozer, have a race and maybe even a beer or ten. Looking forward to next years enduros...........what car....................................
That last stint was awesome, 10 laps at full noise jumping curbs and running 53's and 54's almost every lap. Very good to watch and we were both on the edge of our seats.
Ok guys what do we want to race in the 2017 endurance series, I'm just after some feedback to help what could be a great series and hopefully get more drivers on the starting grid 1. One Car for all races 2. Different car each race 3. Open Class 4. GT1 - GT1X 5. GT3 6. GT4 7. Group A 8. Group C 9. Group 5 10. V8 Supercar 11. Stockcar Now on to the drivers A. Drivers be restricted on division B. Drivers be restricted on last race results C. Drivers be restricted on series point's Or a combination Please reply with the letters and numbers you think will help make a great series for 2017
I don't know how much i'll be around next year, but i like 7C Edit: Ironically that is C7.... #CorvettesForever
Which ever class is easiest to bop. Trans Am is another option. Audi vs Mustang. A for initial restriction, then C for subsequent races.
G'day everyone is everyone keen for some enduro races this year if so the big question is in what car so if your keen please post up your top 3 cars you would like to use
