It's a difficult track, alot of time to be gained or lost, I'm not exactly great here but can't bop drivers

I couldn't rap my head around a quali tune race pace wasn't an issue

Qually pace won't work I feel. People who are quick will end up running away with the win, even though they can't tune a good qually car. Running around Bathurst on your own is fun, but Le Mans? Don't think so.

Wait you had a good race car but went and changed that for qualy? At worst you have to make a tiny aero or spring tweak to compensate for the balance change due to no fuel, no need to go and reinvent the wheel. GT tyre sensitivity is so poor that you don't get gains from throwing camber at it for 1 lap like V8SC would, wherever you get your best race car is pretty much the same place to get the best qualy car when you have limited laps to perform.
