A mainstay of the Formula One calendar since 1990, the new Interlagos (Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace) has seen some of the most dramatic races in recent memory, with the 1991, 2003, 2006, 2012 and 2016 races all etched into racing folklore. The new Interlagos has seen the race won by a Brazilian 4 times, with 2 each for Ayrton Senna in 1991 and 1993, and Felipe Massa in 2006 and 2008. The race nowadays is held towards the back end of the calendar, and has seen champions crowned there 6 times, with Alonso in 2005 and 2006, Raikkonen in 2007, Hamilton in 2008, Button in 2009 and Vettel in 2012.

A tricky but short circuit, the race always has a high threat of rain, and often sees teams run a high downforce setup, to ensure they can tackle the twisty and slow midsection and to retain grip for when the track becomes wet. A true driver's circuit, with danger lurking at each and every corner.

With it being Brazil, @razor4797 and I will be running tribite helmets to the late, great, Ayrton Senna da Silva.

Having a setup that you're comfortable with would be the only advise I can give. You don't want to be fighting the car for 90+ minutes.

Don't worry guys, there wont be any set weather settings.

I am considering nominating at least two rounds next season to be a definite wet race but we shall see.

Best way to tackle a 100% race is to ignore the fact it is 100% and ignore the lap count. In the heat of battle, sometimes a 100% can feel much faster than a 50% especially if you've got the car hooked up to your liking.

@Zachery can I twist your arm and convince you to race on a controller?

I agree, the dynamic settings haven't worked as well as I'd hope. Would be good to have races where the weather changes so strategy plays a part.

Agreed - in some ways 100% races actually feel a bit easier for me - tyres wear less, and if you comfortable with the setup its easier to get into a groove and just punch out lap after lap consistently. Most importantly is to ensure you're there at the end, no points are awarded on lap 1 and anything can happen during the race.

Yeah i still havent sold the wheel yet so ill hook it up and jump in. I did say i would still do the 100%ers when i retired, so i guess i better go do a couple laps. Want me to juust jump back in RBR?

Here's my hot lap and setup for brazil - i've tried lots of setup changes and all can run well into the 10s pretty consistently, but this one will do low-mid 10s all day. 7/7 wings might be a good option for the race, almost as quick overall but a bit more stable in sectors 1 and 2
