sorry mate it was poor judgement on my part.

you and cyber stig were having a bit of a battle on the previous turn and i tried to go up the inside of cyber and it got a bit tight for room and then i got crossed up on that ripple strip and couldnt get off.

I probably should of re-addressed but at the time i was not sure what had happenned.

Would be good if someone can step up and help with posting results from one of the races this week, reverse grid results are an absolute pain in the ass to post, especially fastest laps.

Doing some practicing in my Lobby now. Feel free to join.

    EDIT!
    1'24.512

Solid lap.. Dont see a whole lot left on this..

    EDIT 2!

    Passing...
I dont even know if this will be possible unless drivers actually yeild when a move is done. Its simply not going to be possible to run 2 wide through turn 1 for example, yet it might not be possible to completely outbrake your opponent either.. Very interesting.. and its a reverse grid race too... Oh God.

Well our first race under the new forum regime was immensley enjoyable, despite a very poor grid turnout.
We had 6 starters, and race 2 was down to 4 finishers!

Unlucky Never, disconnected from both races. Super bad luck mate.

Unlucky fryz threw away his regular pole into the first turn, dead in the water on the chicane wall. But resiliant fryz is, claw positions back he does well....We had a great battle for 2nd place and I was lucky to hold him off. A great win went to ansquad coming from 2nd on the grid, with whom I was hoping to have a fun battle for 1st, but a bump mid lap 1 saw me sideways and was never able to make up the time.

Then race 2 I watched in horror as fryz went to duck under Chev down the main straight and pole axed into the pit wall. Bad luck again fryz. Chev, Ansquad, and I went on to have an epic battle for the podium spots. Chev outbroke himself and 'did a fryz' on the chicane! Ansquad and I got passed but not without a bump as Chev poked his nose out to recover, and was back hot on our heels in no time. We shuffled around for a few laps, then just as it was looking like I had a small advantage, ansquad pole axed me into the first chicane wall! Ansquad politely waited for me to recover, but Chev was able to pass and drove away with a good win.

That was a very tricky track in this car with traffic! Results coming soon....;)

Tim, after this week's no show and no reply to my post quali PSN message (as I could see you were logged in) you need to confirm your interest in participating further, or I will be removing you from the Div 1 Sunday League ladder.

    Any one else, if you're at the bottom of the ladder and have several DNS's in a row you will be removed from the ladder. That goes for;
    GTP_aussienicko
lost-on-drugz (mate this is the second season you have signed up for and been 90% no-show)
natmanscoop (sorry mate I know you're having issues, but I don't think it's fair to other drivers in the championship if you show up this late in the season)

Yeah, 2 disconnects, WTF is going on there!? I have never had trouble before. Maybe for Sunday racing I should go with a cable instead of wireless... Anyway, the turnout was pathetic. This is supposed to be the pinnacle of the league, and we have had people dropping out left right and centre. Looks like we will be down to 2 divsions next season!

I did enjoy spectating the last few laps of the 1st race though. Koastr and Small Fryz were going hard at it; looked like small fryz was getting a little impatient at times behind Koastr's very wide Mclaren. :D Great racing guys.

Mmmmm pathetic indeed, my comments exactly in the post race chat....

Definitely recommend that cable option NE. I did all the good stuff pre-race, checking NAT type and bandwidth, clearing cache, and I don't think there were any issues last time I hosted.

Haha was my McLaren wider than standard aye?! I was just trying to be cautious in my braking points more than anything, and stay tight on apex's. It paid off, as fryz passed me only to hit the chicane wall and let me through again. Was a fun battle with a few moments that got the pulse up!

Ansquad, wow you were coming up fast that time at the chicane, must have missed your brake marker by heaps! I think I had nearly a seconds lead at that stage. In the replay I saw you do your best to scrub off speed on the wall (which I assume was intentional :p) With the tightly walled street circuits there's virtually no where to go in that situation, but cheers for trying.

Maybe, someone should campaign to poach some racers from another gt5 forum. ;) hint.
With my Clubsport Pedals "Hard mounted" to my rig now, it has pretty much guaranteed that I will never play gt5 again, unless it's with a DS3 or, If I go to the trouble of re-fitting the g27 pedals. (because CS pedals only work with gt5 if your using the fanatec wheel). Doubt that will happen. If you ask me....Poliphony Digital is to blame. After playing iRacing...I've realised just how much of a "game" gt5 is, And I don't see PD addressing this at all.

That being said, Koastr might as well remove me from the Div1 lineup also.

Might look a bit weird no 2nd place getter for race 1 on the table, so I'll leave you in there.

Thanks for the awesome racing lastnight guys. It's just a shame the starting grid was so small, although maybe it was a good thing on that track. Race 1 for me was very strange. At turn 3 my wheel went stastic and it caused me to lose about 3 positions. It was like the force feedback was trying to pull the wheel to the left slightly. It lasted for 2 laps i think, then vanished. By this time I was in last and about 20 seconds behind. Although the race was a write-off, I noticed I was keeping pace with the guys at the front, even catching them in some sectors. I figured i'd be starting at the front for race 2 so was happy to cruise home in last, lol.

Race 2 was very exciting. I didn't do too much wrong and my wheel didn't go crazy on me. Small Fryz and I had a bit of a battle for a couple of laps until a mistake caused him to retire. It was then a 3 way battle between Koastr, ansquad, and myself. The lead swapped a few times until the boys rammed into each other at the chicane and I cruised through the chaos to take the lead for the last few laps, maintaining a small lead the whole time. Although the starting grid was so small, and some people disconnected, I think my first win of the season was very rewarding.

So with the combined results I managed to get 3rd overall...which means I broke my 4th place curse! Congrats to me!

Buy me a house closer to an interwebs exchange terminal and I'll race again. But be honest, do you really want a ticking time bomb on track with you (that is to say, a driver who could disconnect in front of or behind you at any moment and leave a driverless car to ruin your race?)? That's aside from the fact of how frustrating it is for me to wallow in last place on the points table from a drop-out. Oh well, what can you do? Other than buy me a house as initially mentioned. :p

Guys So sorry I haven't made a round yet, but I'm still a homeless bum, and my PS3 & cockpit are still sitting at the Ex's stacked up in the spare room.
As always, another application in at another (b%$t@rd) estate agent's for a rental property - hopefully next week I'll be back!

As was the case with just about everybody else this week, I only started practicing for this race at 6:30pm after my crazy weekend (was my birthday). Drunk all Saturday and went to watch the Broncos Sunday afternoon lol.

Anyway, Trial mountain reverse is a track I know very well and by now Im used to the car as well so I didnt need a whole lot of practice to get on the pace. Qualified on pole with a 128.8 (I set a 28.4 in the session just prior to quail) Was trying to repeat it but just didnt manage to do it.

Got a good start and I opened up a nice gap from Koastr and ansquad who were fighting in 2nd. Built up my lead to about 4 seconds before I mis-judged the last corner and ran wide and hit the fence. God only knows how I didnt spin. Every other time Ive done that in practice I bounced off the pitwalls like a pinball. I picked up a damaged tyre but all in all only lost about 2 seconds, The next few laps I just couldnt drive as consistent as I wanted and the gap stayed around the 3 second mark.

Came out of the pits and I was now 15 seconds in front!! Not sure what happened to the other boys? I was now feeling really confident and proceeded to drive the best 2nd half stint of my season yet. Stretched my lead from 15 seconds to 28 by the chequred flag and ran a 128.5 in the process!!

Well done to Ansquad for piping 2nd and Koastr for rounding out the podium! Actually really enjoyed this track and car combo and had a lot of fun this race.

Look forward to the enduro next week!
