we had issues in div 4 too, so it was definately something to do with gt5 servers. we did a restart as one got stuck on grid after we all had a 2min wait to start the race.

Oh yep I was doing the math wrong, cheers Chev, it was amazing racing with you and had an enjoyable time the whole season. Same goes for the whole league, very good racing and very close the whole way through, absolutely loved my debut season. And I cannot wait to start season 2, in a new car with new tyres lol.

Well done on the championship Corzza, by my count you get it by 2 points, which makes it at least 3 us who have counted it up.

Disappointing that we had so many dropouts, but Im not sure that running again would solve anything (aside from Corzza being away). Overdrivve, Seido and Corzza have all dropped out or had trouble connecting at various points in every round since PSN came back, and I'm 99% it would happen to at least one of them (or someone else) if we tried again.
As for not restarting last night, I agree with Stumbles in that it took ages before corzza could get back into the room long enough to type a message so we would have been running until midnight if we waited for PSN to sort its out.

As for the race itself, I had a great (if a bit lonely) one. Starting solo on the front row helped a whole lot, after a PB lap of 10'00.592 for 2nd. Managed to get a couple second gap through the GP track, but had average run up to Arenburg (sp?) allowing Dutch to catch up. He gave me a nudge going thru Adenaur Forest, putting me off track, and was nice enough not to attempt to finish the pass . Gradually extended the lead throughout the rest of the first lap, despite all of the connection related carnage behind me for a lap time of 10'11 and a lead of about 7 seconds. It was dark by the time I got back to the Nordschliefe, so maximum concentration for a couple of night time laps got me times of 10'09.202, followed by an 09.240 . 0.032 sec over ten minutes, wow. Had a slightly scrappy 4th lap before I pitted. Left my pit box just as Stumbles was parking in his further down pit lane.
Steady as she goes for lap 5, and after Stumbles had a moment somewhere, I started lap 6 with 17sec up my sleeve. Decided to make a run at a fasest lap, thinking that if it went wrong, I have time to recover to keep the lead. End result, a PB of 9'58.xxx (still a second off Corzza's quali time though). Largely uneventful final lap, aside from my spin just before the Klein-carussel while leading by 29sec.

Given the deafening silence in this thread today, I have just updated the wiki with last nights results. I hope I haven't jumped the gun by giving myself the fastest lap (9'58). Speak up if you did a quicker one and i will change it. The two points wont change any standings anyway (pretty sure Chev said his fastest lap was way off his quali time, which makes it 10min+).

Well done to the season champion! and thanks to all for a great fun season of great racing. I really enjoyed it again.

As for Season 4, unfortunately I can't commit to every Sunday at that time. It's possible that I will be able to make the odd race though.
I'm really hoping to be back for Season 5! However I'll still be on this forum, keeping up to speed with what's happening.
I will continue to run the 501-Make Series and will continue at setting up the Nurburgring 500.

Some of you div 2 guys are really going to give the mid div 1 guys (aka me ) a run for their money next season. Hopefully the promoted guys can stick out the season, unlike last season where we lost half our field after round 1/2.

well done corza, wish i could have made the race but right now im at a mine site 150 kms NW of Mt Isa! damn its lonely here, its hard to get by without my PS3. so think of me while your at home with your ps3 and your own bed and missus to sleep with lol. looks like this is my life now... slightly depressing right? nah its alright im just being overly dramatic and a little too pissed, not much else to do here cept drink lol

but its not all bad ill be back thursday night and my boss is giving us friday to sunday off for the v8s so it not all bad. but im 189 cms tall and ive got 11 hours in a the back of a dual cab patrol on thursday to get home, its not too good for the old knees lol.

my boss trys to have us home for the weekends so i should be able to make most of season 4, we just had to be here ready to start work monday morning so we had to start driving early sunday morning. im pissed i had to miss the last race i was really looking forward to competing for the 3rd spot, but what can ya do!!!

Congrats Corzza for the win, you were just a blur to me all season as you pass me and dissapear up the road. Just thanking you guys in Division 2 for a great season. I struggled this season with consistancy and know where I need to improve. I especially liked practice sessions where I had people from all Divisions in my lounge and I got to catch up/meet some of you and that helped improve my desire to keep the racing clean.
But, we lost a couple of people due to incidents on track and want to remind you that the is a procedure for dealing with that.
Hopefully there won't be another 'extended' break mid season. :lol:
