GT-Sport [Cancelled] European Classic Multi-Class Championship

Just an idea at this stage.

To be run the 4th Tuesday of each month (taking a break from TITTSUP once a month)
2 classes: (I will attempt to bop somewhat)
Class A
- Abarth 1500 BIPOSTO BERTONE B.A.T 1 1952
- Alpine A110 1600S 1972
- Porsche 356 A/1500 GS GT Carrera Speedster 1956
Class B
- Fiat 500 F 1968
- MINI MINI-COOPER'S' 1965
- Volkswagen VOLKSWAGEN 1200 1966

MAX 3 per car

Each night will be a 10min sprint race followed by a 1 hr 'endurance' race with 2 mandatory pitstops.
Sprint will be worth normal points, endurance worth double points
Sprint result sets the grid for endurance

Success Ballast
The top 3 scorers from each night will receive ballast for the following round
1st - 15kg
2nd - 10kg
3rd - 5kg
If they finish on the podium again in the next round, their ballast will increment (max 20kg). Finishing off the podium, will reduce their ballast by 5kg each night.
If a driver misses the first round (or first 2 rounds), their ballast for round 2 (or 3) will be 5kg.

I am looking at 7 rounds with 2 drop rounds.

I would like to run the Mini please.

I will be doing 7 classic liveries for Mini. There are plenty to choose from.

Bit of a Euro fest, If it matches your image could add in the 2000GT too. I'll take the alpine please

it is a european thing. I should rename.
also I just went for N100 cars by default. I don't want to add too many cars as it is just more work.
there is the dino, firebird and stratos too but like I said too many cars

so the decision needing to be made is, do we stick with the fiat and beetle, or swap them out for the dino and stratos and move to one class?

If you are adding thise you could add the E Type as well.

I'm still on the "more the merrier" boat. Was able to match the Beetle and Fiat no worries after you left and with some time, the others could be met as well

Class A should be faster than Class B so if the Fiat/Beetle/Mini match then that is great. But I am not sure if anyone wants to run the fiat or beetle...

Another option is to just open is up to any pre1980 car (1 model per driver to keep grid diverse) and set a time that is not allowed to be beaten for each class. Then it is up to the driver to tune/bop the car to their liking ensuring they cannot beat the set lap time.
In the race, each lap that you do beating the time could be a +5sec penalty with a max of 5 laps beating the time before being dsq

Very hard to police. I think we shouldn't move too far away from your original idea. N100 & N200

can always run another one later for the higher powered classics
