Thanks champ. I was wondering how it was going to work it. I noticed a goodly chunk of D3 racers in positions 18 to 22. Well and truly hitting above their weight..

The system seems to reward regular consistent drivers, which is not a bad thing

Points table after round 5 with corrections accounting for DSC penalties.
@Byron Phillips and @Twitchy were an anomaly as they joined last round. I just stuck them into the next emptiest room for the sake of this modelling i.e. room 3.

It means your race finish time last round was fast enough to classify you into Room 2 for the next round, along with myself and Dragonfly!

It's a little false because we didn't really race against the same line up from the previous round and it's not taking into account drivers racing for the first time e.g. ART_Kodes. But it's proving the @Hatfield's can work.

Yeah I was thinking about that earlier as well - how interesting it would be to be paired up this way, fluid divisions and how the actual results would be.

Hopefully this idea does come to head.

There's no events or anything held at the moment in between seasons is that correct? I may have a few ideas barring we don't have to chose a car and do the whole test thing again?

I think that this is an interesting concept, although you could lose the camaraderie of racing against the same guys each week. But I'm sure that there are many who will enjoy the opportunity to race in higher grades as they progress during the season.

It also occurred to me that this ranking system could see the dropping of D1 or D2 drivers down to D4 or D5 because they have missed several rounds (without notice). This will definitely upset the lower grade races - obviously guys who regularly race in that grade wouldn't be competitive against these faster drivers who only occasionally join in. Perhaps a limit on how far down the grades you can fall from your original seeding?

As far as I'm aware, ACC runs with damage on ( @JJ_Penguin is that correct?)

In that case, is there any reason why we shouldn't run with it on heavy next season?

Lag, how sensitive it is in this game (rubbing = certain damage and time loss), newly lengthened pit stops

Do you recall the Next Gen Supercars series? Even a slight tap from behind gives you damage and worst is it's usually the car in front that's copping it up the rear that gets damaged and the person giving the tap gets none, so it's the innocent driver who gets penalised for it. Definite no vote from me

    Special mystery round:

Same settings as usual but the track selection is random until 5 mins before qualifying starts, then room captains are informed.
