    Round 1: Brands Hatch GP - 27 Laps - 11:30 Fine - 7/2
    [IMG]

    WELCOME to Season 14!!
As always please take 2 mins to read the following so you have an understanding of what is expected on race night.
If you have any questions, or want clarification on any of the rules or regulations please ask!

ROOM OPEN : Most room captains will 'try' to have rooms open by about 7:50 AEDT. Please be on time, or let the room captain or div thread if you may be late. If all agree, the room may wait for you, Within reason. Please remember we have drivers from NZ, and later starts mean a much later night for them.
QUALIFYING : 8:20 AEDT for 10 mins. If a driver joins while qualifying mode is active, room captains will need to grab a quick photo of qualifying results, cancel the race and then set grid by host.
In practice mode, once 10 mins has been reached, finish the lap you are on and park up off track. (Qualifying mode should be used so the room can be set to x0 tyre/fuel for qualifying)
YOU MUST START ON YOUR QUALIFYING TYRE

RACE START TIME : 8:30 AEDT (once qualifying has completed)

LAG ISSUES / ROOM RESTARTS : This is up to the room host/captains. If there is a Disconnection (or cars stuck on grid) at race start, it is sporting to try to get them back in, which may mean a new room to be set up. I always look at 1 or 2 starts if required due to DSC, but as it gets later everyone needs to be aware of getting things going. Please be as reasonable as you can with this....
SIGHT ISSUES: Ensure that you can see everyone on track. Before qualifying, exit to lobby and spend 30 seconds in spectate mode, scroll through the list of drivers on track and make sure that you can see their car. If you can't see somebody (and they are confirmed as being on track), exit the lobby, re-join, and check again.

FALSE START CHECK : Please note that the start type is Grid Start with False Start Check
Please practice this so you know what to expect. Simply, you hold the brakes on until the lights go from all lit, to none lit

TURN 1 LAP 1 : This has the potential to ruin someone's night if we don't use our heads! Should be everyone's goal to get through the first phase with ZERO contact. Give room and run in your 'lane' till you have space to run the normal race line. If your unassisted tap causes someone to spin, you need to redress.

TRACK LIMITS : As we are running with 'track limit penalties" OFF, we will run with our usual Raceonoz track limit regulations. This means you MUST have at least 2 wheels on the ripple strip OR white line that defines the track limit. If you do make a mistake and have to run outside the limits, be aware that you are not allowed to gain any advantage.
Exceptions at Brands Hatch are the exit of Druids and Graham Hill Bend where you are allowed to use all the rumble run off.

CONTACT : Is to be avoided at all times..... If you rear end someone and gain an advantage, YOU ARE EXPECTED to give the spot back. Side by side 'rubbing' is racing, within reason, but all drivers are expected to give racing room.
If you bump someone and they end up off track or teleport back to the corner entry, you must wait for them to rejoin and get back up to speed.
Show each other RESPECT! It is difficult enough to drive the car at the limit on your own, without someone squeezing you within a millimeter of the grass.
So be patient and show respect to your fellow drivers.
If you are redressing contact, please do so out of the way of other cars, off the racing line, or if there isn't much room, off track. Contact in the final corners could cause a reset which of course must be REDRESSED if you are at fault.

TYRES : Sports Mediums (mandatory) & Sports Softs (1 set voluntary)

PIT ENTRY : The Pit entry is to be followed at ALL TIMES. 4 wheels across the line that determines Pit Entry will be seen as a violation of track limits and you will be subject to a penalty depending on severity and quantity of cuts.
PIT EXIT : You are required to use the pit exit lane, Penalties will be adjudicated in similar fashion to Pit Entry. You should be to the right of the White pit exit line. ENSURE YOU DO NOT CUT THE LINE. Please be aware of cars approaching down the straight.
As the lane ends on the racing line into T1, drivers approaching may need to take a slightly wider line to get around a car coming out of the pits.
    NOTE: Pitting is NOT COMPULSORY

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : This season the steward will be @Hatfield. If you have reason to protest, please SAVE YOUR REPLAY, and then let him know via a PM.
DO NOT BLOW UP IN THE FORUM OR IN THE ROOM CHAT. There have been multiple incidents where the replays from drivers have been different, so its true that sometimes things are not as black and white as they may seem. You have until MIDNIGHT, Monday night to register your protest via PM. Stewards will ask for video evidence from both drivers or room captain to make any decision.

SAVE YOUR REPLAY : If the room host can ask all drivers to save their replay would be good before exiting the room.....once they exit out and the option goes, it cant be retrieved!

PARKING UP : If you are unable to continue to race, please enter the pits and leave your game paused without selecting tyres (or no tyres) so that your car stays parked in the pits. Parking up off track activates yellow flags in the sector, and even though penalties are off, we have reports of penalties occurring for passes happening near the parked car.

FINAL NOTE: Could all drivers please confirm their attendance for this Sunday by 'liking' this post in your division. If you are unable to attend, please post in reply as much in your division. This way we can figure out our reserves or if the room can start early in advance.
(ALSO IF YOU KNOW YOU CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE POST SAYING SO, SO THAT RESERVES CAN BE ORGANISED IN ADVANCE)
If you do not post in your room thread or psn chat that you cannot attend, a spot may not be held for you for the following weeks race

Feels good to be back league racing. Practice paid off this week as the pace felt much better than the qualy round but couple of mistakes and an awful race strat cost me a lot of time. Don't think it would have mattered much though, @Matthyus @emmo46 @RPeeM808 all had really fast consistent race pace, well done lads.

It was very good to see a full grid and some excellent racing. In qually I did a banker lap on lap two which turned out much quicker than I had managed the week before and in pre race testing by a big margin. I couldn't get near it again and @Matthyus was inching closer and closer with each lap. In the end though it was a late effort from @kiwinado that lowered my time by nearly .4 to grab pole.
Starting from the front row is always a good sign for me because I know I am in with a chance of the win. I got a good start but matthyus swept up the inside into Druids to take away my second place. I thought, never mind, hopefully I can get that back later. Initially Kiwi and Matthyus pulled away as I conserved the car and kept a couple of cars at bay. After a while matthyus took the lead from Kiwi and Kiwi slowly fell back towards me as Matthyus powered away up front. Kiwi then ran wide out of Westfields and I was able to pass him into Sheen.
By this time Matthyus had built up a good lead and I started to push a bit to try and reel him in. I was getting closer and then he pitted and I pitted the following lap. After the pit top I was able to close right up on him over lap 19 and 20 and I managed to get my nose in front with inside passes a couple of times but he always was able to get his power down on his outside line and retake the lead on the next straight. I was hoping that the pressure might convince him to find a way to give away the win but it was me that cracked. An ambitiously fast entry to Surtees put me too fast and too wide and I ran wide through the sand. It only cost me about 3 seconds or so but it meant I would spend the rest of the race trying to close the gap.
I am still pleased with the 2nd place and congratulations to Matthyus, It was a faultless drive and a commanding win.

Congrats to the podium boys. Hope you enjoyed the champagne.;)
What a race of ups and downs. Mid race i was having a ding dong battle with Peersy and controllagod. I finally edged ahead and put in a couple of solid laps to consolidate my position, then had my first System failure, loosing Steering and power between Surtees and Pilgrims Drop. I’m sure @Peersy thought what the F. Hope it didn’t put you off too much. Lost about 30 sec, then 3 laps later same again. I was goooone. Will be getting rid of the old gear through the drive hub and spending some cash very soon.
Really enjoyed the battle while it lasted. Cheers all

Mate, that was a great drive and I had so much fun racing with you. Very enjoyable!
Sad you had a drop out, I knew it was a flat controller or power cable disconnect or something. I really feel for you, we had some great battles and hope to continue these in the coming rounds.

After the SM change I seemed to drop away too much and I faded to the back.
Was pushing hard and dropped a wheel in the sand at T1 paddock Hill, resulting in 3-4 seconds of lost time, then I was rounded up quickly. Also some good battles with @ControllaGod and he caught me, I was chasing hard and accidentally nudged from behind at T1 and pushed him off the track. I slowed down and let him past, along with 2-3 other cars lol.

    What a tough race!
Lots learnt and lots to improve. I'm hungry.

    Edit:
    How could I forget - Big congratulations to @Matthyus @emmo46 @RPeeM808 !!!!
Faultless and fast racing from you guys

    What a race that was!!
After @Emmo had put in that flyer lap, it gave me extra drive to try and beat him.
However I just couldn't match it and then @kiwinado comes through and stomps right over us!!

With that said, I was still happy with 3rd. On this track the inside line was an advantage.
When the race started, I got right up alongside Emmo for T1 and then for Druids (T2), I took the inside line and nabbed 2nd.
I then got on with keeping up with Kiwi, while trying to gap Emmo.
Kiwi and I seemed to have good pace and Emmo started to drop back, maybe some pressure from behind?
After a few laps, I really caught up to Kiwi and made my pass with an awesome exit from the final turn and down the main straight.

From there it was just a matter of keeping it clean and making sure that I don't throw it away..
Once Emmo had gotten past Kiwi, by this time it was lap mid teens, my tyres were on their way out, still OK, just old. I was managing OK lap times, but through Emmos skill at conserving tyres, he was able to reel me in.
I pitted as planned at the end of 17 and Emmo took the lead, a lap later he pitted.
However @RPeeM808 had snuck into FIRST.

Once Emmo pitted I had managed to get that position back, however the gap had narrowed to less than a second. What came next was some of the finest racing I've had the pleasure to partake in. Sadly Emmo was a bit too late on the brake for a corner and I flew away.

However, this left me in 2nd with RP still ticking away in front of me. I'm like, WTF have you pitted or did you use an alternate strategy. I went with the latter, and started to slot really good times on the SM's and really begun to reel him in.
On lap 24, I had a chance to pass, but backed out at the last sec as I wasn't in the right place to do it.
However the gods shone on me and RP pitted on lap 25!!

I flew on by to take the win.

Very happy with taking the win for Rd1.

Well done to Emmo and RP for their podium finishes.

NOTE - Not looking forward to Rd2..
