GT Sport Season 14 Incident Reports

This thread will be used by mods from the Stewards Group to post Incident Reports which have been resolved.

Description: Pit Line Cuts with all 4 wheels by @MetalGear9493 @Noremac @razor4797 @Motors560 @groover33 @gtkingx

Decision: The penalty is 5 secs
(except Razor who was paused due to technical issue and subsequent DNF)

Description: Contact between @Twitchy & @gtkingx

Decision: Dismissed
Explanation of Decision:
Prior to turn 1, GTking was ahead of Twitchy and on the racing line.
Under brakes, Twitchy advanced himself to half alongside GTKing still prior to turn 1. GTKing turned in on the racing line, pointing the car at the apex and made contact with Twitchy who was still half alongside him.
As a result, Twitchy gained a position over GTKing and gained an advantage.
The Stewards have decided that neither driver is at fault for the incident and the protest will be dismissed.

Decision: First video- warning
Explanation of Decision:
Motors slide gives gtking a good run and motors moves to the inside to block
Gtking gets ahead in the braking zone but turns in making contact with motors on the apex which slows his run
Motors should have left a bit more room on the outside but stewards cannot guarantee that with the extra space gtking could have completed the pass
Warning to Motors to ensure adequate racing room is left

The second video isn't really a protest from gtking, more a note on improving the way you follow another car.
Motors makes contact with the rear of gtking on 4 consecutive corners.
Yes mistakes do occur but 4 corners in a row of contact, surely you should adjust the way you follow someone before it gets to that point

CAGM takes the defensive line into the final corner
RPee takes a wider entry and is able to get overlap on the inside
As the pit entry appears next to CAGM he turns in towards the pit lane but the overlap is already present and he spins due to contact with RPee

web goes for the inside line
while braking, blunty moves towards the apex but before he gets there web does
contact is made with the front left of blunty and right hand side of web
web has pulled the car up as he stays on the inside of the ripple strip with 2 wheels in the dirt
on exit there is plenty of room for both cars

FYI I am not happy with the way pit line cuts are having to be dealt with for consistency sake.

I will be changing these for future seasons so that we can spend less time on them and more on fantastic clean racing.

But for the rest of this season, consistency will remain so PLEASE read the briefing during the week and when you practice, check the pit entry/exit so you know what to expect.

Explanation of Decision:
Stewards are unable to confirm beyond all doubt that all extensions resulted in time gain.
Due to the weather, small errors are exacerbated and the nature of the track means this little errors result in the car sliding outside track limits.
The initial protest was against @Cameron Neane , but upon checking the replay, other drivers also had similar problems, though not as many.
As drivers we should be learning from our mistakes as to not repeat them, and the maximum amount of any similar extension was 4 times.
Due to the above, stewards have decided on a warning
