What an amazing track! A real test of endurance for sure! Pretty satisfied with my race as it’s my best result to date, as was quali with third. My strategy was compromised by forgetting to change back to hards, was planning on 2 five lap stints on RHs then Two laps on RMs but had to switch to 2 on RMs then the 2 five lap RH stints. Got away off the line well but braked a little late and tapped @LITTLEBLACKO942 (sorry!) which cost him the lead into the first corner and me two positions also. Everyone settled over next few corners but all still pushing hard. The couple of cars that got by me in the first corner both found/crossed the limit of adhesion on the bump strips coming out of different corners during the first couple of laps so I was back in third by first pit stop. Managed to grab second when the two front runners pitted and had a few consistent laps in a row but was my own worst enemy for the latter half of the race. I was struggling to stay focussed on the track, missing braking points, forgetting gear changes at critical points, thinking about who’s where in the championship etc. then overdriving to compensate.... argghhh! (I was literally yelling abuse at myself at this stage!) Anyway just held it together for second. So happy for result but also a little annoyed at myself too as I twice got closer to @LITTLEBLACKO942 then threw the chance to challenge away
