the different winner for each race in every division (bar d1) was broken on sunday by all divisions lol
I've already mentioned this to Hat, but i won't be putting up much of a fight for the rest of the season. I've unfortunately had to severely reduce the amount of practice sessions I've devoted to this series. Free for all for xl, norm and hat now
@Matthyus div 2 final round I think you missed dsc deedz and zachery... this makes deedz finish ahead of bmw I believe
So I had a thought a week or so ago, around what 'IF' we applied the Test Season points allocation to peoples Total Race time. DSC and +xLAP racers were counted at the bottom of the table. To give clarity, both Total points earnt and AVG points earnt per Round are visible. Before anyone asks, I have taken into account missed rounds, the formula only counts and divides by races raced. Below are the results Some thoughts could be to use the division breakup to prioritize point allocation, in the case of +xLAP. IE instead of giving them the lowest point allocation, they get given points suited to their Division (basically based from Race Results instead of Race Time). But hey, numbers are fun
I like your work. One thought to keep in mind, it’s good to see the figures now, I think a key thing missing from the system is the qualifying situation deciding rooms each week. Had we followed the qualifying process, some people may have benefited more from the make up of their room (the other racers In their room) more so than the set divisions, likewise the other way around with some people who were up the front each week, may have found themselves mid pack in a higher division. I didn’t have the best season, but one thing I know for sure is that I had some great battles from race 1 to race 7, which clearly would have affected my overall ‘race time’. Numbers are fun, and don’t get me wrong I love your work, just food for thought. Also it’s 4:00am and I can’t sleep.
Oh I agree. Battling will slow you down. One thing that has been mentioned this season more than any other is that battling actually happened instead of having 1 run away winner. Up until round 4 each division had a different winner. This is the first that I've seen this happen. This means what is happening in the back end is getting there. Numbers help in this regard. 2 issues that plague me are signups no showing reducing numbers (last race was sub 40 from a roster of over 60 signed up) and attempting to slot in new drivers without data to back it up with. If we can come up with a cleaner / easy to manage qualification method that allows fluid room assignment and pace matching then we'll use it instead of assigning racers based on historical performance.
