Updated OP with tyre compound rule clarification:
    Tyre Wear : x2
Tyre Regs : Qualify and start on Racing Hards, one other compound allowed during the race (BUT ONLY ONCE)

Basically this means if you pit and throw on a set of soft tyres, and you find yourself needing to pit again, you will have to leave that set on, or change to a fresh hard set

I've upgraded my copper NBN to fibre (100/40) so can put me down for a 3rd backup host if required.

thanks to all that were able to attend meet n greet.
hopefully we all had a good night and were able to figure out any bugs and get going
reminder to room captains for the fastest lap screenshots please

once we have them, mod team will finalise the divisions and get the teams draft underway

Compared to what I just read about div3's night...we were relatively error free! Silly mistake by me forgetting to change to one lap for nurb...and then back to 5 at tokyo, and i chose fastest first instead of fastest based on previous grid...so I started pole each race, somebody said it might have been entry order...I should have listened!

I was racing towards the pointy end - though Bombcat and Easy were ahead in places - and Colin screamed ahead it times too. Should make for an interesting season - though we might see a few other "fast" guys come down from other divs yet. Plus meet n greet isn't the tell all - i was a second ahead of everyone at last seasons meet n greet, but was midfield during the season. I did spend an hour practising these tracks saturday night, I hope we all get faster from here! That chicane at Tokyo is a doozy when you first see it!

Speaking of Tokyo, we saw a few punts last night at the chicane, I didn't notice if they were redressed, if anyone has doubts or questions @Hatfield is great at explaning. Redressing was new to me when I first started here, but makes for much better racing than the dailies!

I might make a highlights vid if I get the time this week...

here is a specific tokyo chicane example for redressing:
you are following someone into the braking zone for the chicane. You make contact with the rear end of the car ahead, which causes them to hit the chicane wall and stop dead. They ghost and you are able to drive through. You should park up out of the way until they get going and then let them passed you to redress the incident, thereby hopefully avoiding a post-race protest and penalty

lol yeah I did say this during our div 1 meet n greet. Tokyo is 2 lanes generally but has the emergency lane. So you have to yell 'EMERGENCY OVERTAKE' when passing there to be considered legal [/endsarcasm]

    LOL.

Thank hat, well explained, though I did mean hairpin, not chicane. Same explanation applies - though I almost got knocked into pits around the hairpin - would be hard to redress that in the moment!

Hmmm yes, there was a certain amount of assertive driving last night that was, for the MnG, a bit over the top. Racing room was bit tight in places too.
