@Matthyus my racetime is incorrect by 1 minute
Round 2 posted.
Very interesting results
Interesting that the results, apart from one, are "as they should be" in terms of division placement
I just had to ruin things. Shows that maybe the qualifying system works..
That or the numbers that gave us the divisions worked. Remember that the divisions were still decided prior to the qualification method.
Some of the things I got out of this weeks times.
1. Very happy to see that when we decided on who was going to be in each division is actually beginning to be true.
2. There is still work to be done to ensure correct placement / division.
For example there are certain trends / gaps that can be highlighted to determine this.
Looking at Round 2 Fastest Laps only.
Most of D1 are in the 1.35 range, however the ones that are in the 1.36, the gap to them is half a sec, quite large in racing. Perhaps a 1B or 2nd division.
Most of the racers in the 1.36 range are pretty close and I would count them as a division 2
The gap from 1.36 to 1.37 is another half a second.
Bar 1 racer, the rest of 'D2' are all very close to each other, which means the numbers are working. Even our 'D3' lads are in the 1.37 space
Also to note, some racers didn't beat their qualification times.
And Beau is an Alien
Looking at Race Time
Again there are 'gaps' that make racing tough for the majority.
See above in regards to beau
Beating 2nd by 18s, but the rest of Room 1 were pretty close to each other if you discount beau from the list.
The outliers in Room 1 (Deedz and Incey), given their times didn't have a super race, but normally would place much higher.
Naacs had a run away win in Room 2 and TBH should have been in Room 1, but his qualification time limited him to Room 2. Aside from Naacs, the rest of Room 2 were all within a few seconds of each other.
Aside from some slip ups on track and accidents, it was a very enjoyable and competitive race night.
In short, it is tough to ensure that there are no run away winners in every race, but it does seem to be getting better.
@KeedenMcdonald ALSO commented on the Facebook stream #BigDeal, commented in the lobby chat while racing 3x times #BigDeal # Eco Boost #Ecoboost and then copped an absolute earful for being a sh#t bloke for doing it haha
I was told to do it first lol
I'm gonna tell you to throw a race next season and help me win by taking out the competition
That’ll be $8 per race
I'd turn it into an auction. Very profitable business per race
$5 and a cream bun

@kipztaah definitely punching above your weight in round 3. Great driving!
