Nothing's stopping people from getting stuck on a standing grid. But you do happen to have 4wd so its not a surprise you want it to stay.

it's been a while between races, I forgot it was 4wd in grp4 as opposed to FR in grp3

but on that note, you do happen to have FF so its not a surprise you want it to go ;)

and you still beat me last race from a grid start so it seems the advantage off the line is evened out by the advantage the TT has on the track

Have a look at the top cars in the daily/now weekly (how gay) sport races. With the new grip physics its awds everywhere. Last race i went from 1st to 8th in 100m, imagine how backwards it will go now, may as well not qualify.
I do believe you readressed a coming together which cost you victory.

    yeah you are probably right.
I'll leave it up to @emmo46 , but I would suggest that if rolling start is attempted, and cars are not let go from AI control, that any restart be a grid start

I just tested the Audi off the line with traction control set to 1 and it is about 10 K slower at the braking point for turn 1 than my Ferrari. @Knuckles you weren't at round 1 where we attempted to do a rolling start so don't know or probably care what happened, the first was a complete debacle and it was decided that we would just go with what happened in the second attempt. In the second attempt everybody from about 11th place back didn't get to start with the others and were held for about 10 seconds until the stuck driver dropped out. We never made up that lost time. We will be doing a standing start.

Let me get this straight. Every single car has a fairly decent advantage of the line and you won't even consider a rolling start because of issues that may or may not happen. So you wont even consider an even playing field first and if it doesnt work then go to a standing grid. Thats pretty :):):):).

I guess we have as many restarts as is required for Knucks to get to turn 1 first.

Lol seems like it. @Knuckles you chose a car knowing its strengths and weaknesses beforehand. The rolling start, in my opinion, removes the advantage that each car has over each other.
AWD - Great off the line, has even tire wear. Has understeer issues though.
RWD - Decent off the line, has very good tire wear. Oversteery if too excited on the power.
FWD - Terrible off the line, bad front tire wear. If you can drive it, and manage your tires, you will be fast.

Just deal with the grid start mate.

:):):):) if its to much hassle to try a rolling start dont then. I only :):):):)ing asked to be on an even playing field.
Because nobody ever gets stuck on the grid and we never do restarts. Really didnt think it was that much to ask.

You gain your time back through the corners. Rolling start removes our advantage. Talk about even playing field...
