Rookie Champion for Season 4: @Bryan_F
This is an event to appeal to the uprising rookies of the field. It requires division captains to pick atleast 1 rookie driver from their division with 1 season under their belt or even just a couple races. Team Captains/Vice Captains will be asked to also enter 1 to 2 drivers for this event. This event is to boast what upcoming talent we have in this race community and we want to see some of 'chosen ones' at work against each other. It uses a very similar setup compared toROC and ROSF. (We could be running a safety car if we do this is how it would work, copyright Hatfield lol)
Safety Car works as follows:
If you are hit which results in going off track or causing damage, you type 'SC' into chat.
If you only go off track and are able to rejoin safely without losing too much time it would be preferable to continue racing, but this can only be determined by each specific driver.
I Pykey(safety car) will deploy from the pits and the field will come around to follow me at 40-60kph while drivers with damage pit (anyone behind me but in front of 1st place can overtake me to return to the rear of the pack). Once the track is clear, all cars are bunched up the safety car will return to the pits and the lead car will decidewhen the field can 'go' (must be at earliest the exit of final corner or latest the start/finish straight)
No overtaking under Safety Car until you pass the start/finish straight
If you have an accident by yourself which results in damage, and you would be unable to return to the pits without hindering other drivers, you may also call 'SC'
If we have a Steward, once an SC call is made, Stewards watching the race will call out on mic the Safety car coming on track and yellow flags being waved (virtually).
They can also call out once cars have returned to the rear of field.
The Safety Car will start from rear of the grid and drive around into the pits for lap 1. Any first lap incidents, and the safety car can simply wait on track for the field to come around
