GT5 Labour Day Double Header With Super Touring Cars

Even though its using exact regs as to the RTTC series i made ill make this separate as this is for a one off race.

Date: October 7th(Labour day public holiday is for NSW and QLD).

Qualifying: 8pm
Race: 8:30
Track: Nurburgring GP/D with Reverse Grid for second race, Both races will be equal in length with each being around 20 mins.
Laps: 2 x 16 Lap Races
Tyres: Racing Medium
Wear: Normal
Specs: 285HP and 1190KG
Tuning: Full tuning Allowed

As it stands there will be 2 people maximum to each car, unless we get more then 12 sign ups.
This is to ensure we get a mixed grid.
I have tested these cars at Grand Valley East and all were within 3 tenths of each other.
Ill put the track vote up soon.

Hey Mus, why don't you try a course maker track? It'll be a new chalenge for everyone! Some provide excellent racing, one I've downloaded is just incredible.

Sorry excuse my ignorance a bit slow how does this race work i should be ok to have ago any car ??

I really doIn't like Eiffel tracks as elevations are always rough and come out looking like stairs and Toscana tracks look the same to me.

Im thinking of going Motegi as the track, since it's rarely used.

Test any car you want but in the race you can only select one.

I'd like to be part of this but may be away that long weekend... However.... might be back in time for the race , still have to check which cars I have, if any. Put me down as a maybe!

Ah, each to their own. With Eifel it's a bit of trial and error. I've had plenty of awesome layouts ruined by some stupid negative camber apex. My Leap Of Faith track (which I suggest everyone to try) has one at turn 2, but it isn't so bad in which it is impossible to negotiate at speed. You can limit it by making the track narrow, but by then it becomes a bit pathetic. Mt Aso is just stupid, they had an opportunity for us to recreate something similar to the Österreichring but instead forced a narrow, short and bumpy abomination.
Toscana can be ok, but it can be very to be carried away and make the course too long and monotonous. Short-mid length and somewhat narrow layouts are fantastic, especially at night.

You guys keen for me to add more to the list, im doing more testing and Rally cars have the same downforce as these lot(15 front and 35 rear Downforce) and im finding some that are pulling very similar lap times(most weigh 1230kg which means they got a 40kg disadvantage but rally cars tend to have massive torque so it equals out).

Ill only add touring car looking Rally cars like Evos that don't have huge mud flaps that make it look like an obvious rally car.
Im trying to go for the 90s BTCC kinda look with the grid and with more manufactures this will help.

Did 15 laps with this and equaled the Impreza TC time around grand valley east

This has no mud flaps on it and basically comes off looking like touring car as it is.

It's a beautiful car, too.

OK the Evolution RM is decent speed, is the slowest but not by much, plus you have a Yaw Differential to play with so it could have some potential.

I want to keep the racing Extremely close so im going to have Racing Tyres.

Thought of the FTO super touring car? I'm a fan. Not sure if it fits the downforce levels or not.

I know you have the Impreza touring car but there is a super touring version as well.

Those have much higher Downforce and would be too fast for this series.

All the cars mentioned have the exact same downforce so on paper at least they are identical only a few tenths differnce between the fastest and the slowest out of these.

I'll be in Melbourne that weekend but fly back on the Monday. If the race is pushed back til 8:30, I can make it no probs.
