Good stuff Dave! I did a day at the skid pan at Eastern Creek recently. A bit of fun! Had no control what so ever!
Love the sound. Cobra's are sweet! Gotta watch that short wheel base and light weight, you'll end up backwards in the blink of an eye! lol
Hey Mad that looked like Mad fun, that ya old mans car? Sounds like you dominating again there Dave, greatest Birthday ever?
I think i seen it in a post a while ago when your dad did a track day. You geting to drive it a bit now M8, totaly agree with Chev that sound is grunty sweet!
I know this isnt the same as being behind the wheel.. But i went for a few laps in a drift car today at Archerfield. Was great fun. Heres 1 lap. Drift Passenger Ride
Yeh, really didnt last long enough. I didnt want to get out haha. Cant complain for a free ride though
For my 30th my partner and friends chipped in for a half day of rally driving with Rallyschool.com.au The WA event is held at bakers hill about an hour out of perth. Here's just a few laps. Got to drive a couple of different national rally spec cars: two evo's and a WRX. The two courses were short laps, and tightly coned. Good fun but the instructors would frown upon you going off the swept line let alone cranking it fully crossed up.. not too mention that you sign a form making you liable for the cost of damages if you stack it (some guy rolled one in Nov 2011, cost him $6k) Their camera is the in-car and I took my new go-pro I also got for my 30th on the outside for the rear view.
Nice. Looks like fun. Sucks that they didnt let you thrash the beans out of it though. Had to mute it aswell. That music was way too HC for me hahaha.
Had another passenger ride today. In an s14 this time. Drift Passenger Ride Damn GoPro getting in my way haha.
Here's the lap of the instructor driving me around a modified circuit which combines a few corners from both circuits in the previous vid... Backed witth some much less HC bluegrass, maybe you can keep this one unmuted Dougz.. I know the hairnet is extremely flattering... :/
You can sorta see why in the video though... it's a very loose surface with alot of undulations and not exactly a course placed in the middle of a flat open field where you can plough off without consequence.... go off track and you'll be over a bank, in a wall, hitting a bridge or some trees pretty quickly
