Bonus if you live near a MSY buy parts from there, if your not comfatable building your own PC they put it together for $70. You cant get much cheaper than MSY http://www.msy.com.au/ Having said that the PC you showed looks fine for iracing and the price isnt too bad, CPU could be better.

Just make sure the hard drive is at least 7200rpm if its your primary
Also use a this PSu caculator to see if that PSU is enough, the cpu uses stuff all volts but im not up to date on the latest cards. should be fine though http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/ I only use a 450w for a i52500 and a 6850

for those people building a pc. dont know what ur doing for sound if ur using onbaord or thinking of getting a card. if ur thinking of getting a card DONT GET CREATIVE SOUNDBLASTER X-FI they r the :):):):)est things ever. all u will here is the rice bubble characters snap, crackle and pop making noise through ur speakers. such a waste of money. and creative cant even fix the problem. bloody :):):):):):)s biggest piece of crap ever. a cup on a string would be better.

I was intending on not getting a sound card. The sound should go through my HDMI cable to my TV then through the surround sound shouldn't it?

Man, I'm running an X-Fi Fatality Professional on Z-5500's and have no issues whatsoever, on my old Altec Lansing speakers I did have some bad crackling in some games however, since hooking the Logitech's up, it's been smooth sailing.

FYI on the topic of what Power Supply's people should get. I just plonked a gigabyte 6950 in my PC, along with the E8400 CPU, 2 HDD's, DVD and usb stuff. According to the manual I require a 500w PSU... Its running fine on my 460w (APS) Zalman PSU. Although I have read that the Zalman PSU's are very conservative in their ratings, apparently in one test they got this PSU running stable with a power draw of 530w.

Yeah PSU's are one thing you should never skimp on, I'm running a Corsair HX1000 in my system and it's the best decision I ever made, my CPU is OC'ed slightly (i7 930@3.4) and I'm running an HD5970, initially I wanted to get a second 5970 for a quad gpu setup but quickly wisened up, geez it would've been pushing that PSU hard though, if I could ever find a game that would utilise all 4 gpu's.

I'm looking at upgrading the CPU and GPU in the new year (once the hd7000's and GTX600's arrive), will be sticking with X58 (probably i7 980, 6 core, unless the 990X plummets in price) though as I'm running a good UD7 mobo and upgrading all that sh!t is too much of a pain in the arse, haha!

Edit can you cut your case Beau?

    Not looking for card atm.

RE: PSU talk. In my bargin rig I used a Thermaltake V3 that comes with a 450w PSU, there only $75 all up...bargin http://www.msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=1040

    Got an i5 2500k
    and a ATI 6850 1g

Sure there not the newest card but good midrange back at the start of the year plus they have low power use. :)

All up it cost me about $950 with Win7 OEM when I built it at the start of the year. When a game really needs it Ill update the GPU and PSU. I can clock the cpu to 4.1 each core if I want.
