    This competition is a combined effort from GTLOZ and Pagnian Imports.

    Details are below

    Drivers will need to build and race there very own Ferrari 458 Italia, feel free to paint it in your own racing colours for originality.

    Enter ARCADE >> TIME TRIAL
    Track NURBURGRING NORDSCHLIEFE SUNNY

    Transmission: At User Discretion
    Tyres: Racing > HARD (Front AND Back)
    Driving Line: OFF
    Traction Control: At User Discretion
    Skid Recovery Force: OFF
    Active Steering: OFF
    Active Stability Management (ASM): OFF
    ABS: At User Discretion
    Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge: REAL
    Mechanical Damage: OFF
    Clutch: At User Discretion


    The objective is to head over to ARCADE >> TIME TRIALS... then choose your car and go for fastest lap time. After you have the fastest time you can possibly achieve on the Nurburgring Nordschleife track, save your fastest lap replay and send it to:

    At the end of the month August 31st, the Top 10 drivers will be decided.

    A race will be organised with the winner being crowned the fastest GT5 driver in Australia and will be able to claim his prize. A brand new racing simulator, donated by Pagnian Imports.

    The Latest GTxtreme V2 simulator is one awesome prize for anyone. So lets get behind our latest sponsor and make this competition a success.

    RULES

    (i) 2 wheels are to remain within the track or inline (if airborne) with the track

    (ii) The rumble strip is considered part of the race track, the green on the outside of the rumble strip is not

    (iii) Crashing into or making any contract with barriers is not allowed

    (iv) Tuning or modifying is outlined above, ABS & TC only - unlimited modifications OK

    Failure to comply with these rules will result in a void race and resubmission will be required

    It's a great competition that's for sure. If you're looking to get participation and registration levels up, advertise it on GTP, so much traffic through there and people will jump on a comp like this. I don't know if I need a racing rig, but I'll definitely be going through Pagnian to get a Fanatec so I can play both GT5 and Forza without ever needing to change wheels.

    Whats the rules with tyres on the grass and stuff? as long as the lap allows it you can? and just to check Skid Recovery Force is off?

    I think in time trial it doesn't count your lap if you cut the track. I have only done it once to do the qualifying for a race. Arcade physics are less demanding than online so try not to do it to much and get a false sense of ability.

    It's an awesome prize that is for sure, definately something I want in my living room (when I build it! :lol: ).

    Can definately see one of the Div 1 guys getting a nice new cockpit. I'll be giving it a go though, just to see what could have been..........

    man great timing I just starting getting back into GT on the weekend, Now i have something to completley ruin my social life...... looking forward to seeing how well I can do in this challenge....I love the "Green Hell" simply the best circuit.

    Definitely give it a go, you may surprise yourself with a great lap and then it comes down to the final race on the day.

    Just like a proper race team, its up to you to share tune info

    Can all gtleagueoz members put the <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.gtleagueoz.com">www.gtleagueoz.com</a><!-- w --> URL as their PSN avatar message for this Month and send a message to any OZ/NZ friend on their list telling them a bout the competition and tell them to pass the message around. It seems to get around for those bogus PSN birthday spams. Every bit helps to make this as big as it can be. We are working on a way to get the race featured on insidesimracingtv too; youll be famous if ya get in the top 10.
