Meh was fun, as cool as having damage is on, I don't think many of us are ready to have it on. Also such weird behaviour, in the DRS zone, not even turning nor near the hair pin and the car just wants to spin randomly every so often, was frustrating, cause I was 3rd and setting good pace and despite fixing damage the cars never the same I stuggled to get to 6th, tis a shame people left cause it thus inspired me to leave I was happy to stay to improve lap times but I couldn't even do that due to unknown damage and getting 141s,140s :s
yeah , what happened to every one ? I ended up going to full wet's after hitting the wall a few time's , Much better after that , end up finishing third (there was only 3 left) . think we need some more wet weather practice . I didn't mind it .
I like damage, damage makes you drive smarter. This games a sim not an arcade. As infuriating as it would be id rather be punished for my mistakes than just bouncing of a wall. Maybe we need a section for those who want hard core sim racing and those who want sim arcade.
Thanks to those that turned up, hard luck to the guys that got DC'd, and thanks to those who went the distance, these are only test races so things are obviously being tried and tested, but I'm fairly ashamed that we started with 11 and finished with 3, I'm absolutely gutted, The idea behind these events is to see what can and can't be done with the game, so we can take this data, learn from it and develop something that is fun and fair for all to enjoy casually and move forward into building an official series for the forum, for obvious reasons some things regarding these events will need to reassessed moving forward, but its damn difficult when you only have 3 people people finish an event, whom actually enjoy the challenges that were thrown at them and had the main goal of finishing the event from before the race started, whilst I know others would have also, Internet connections prevent them from doing so, Next event may be up to a month away, If its even worth my time sorting it with so many quitters, that was ridiculous! If you have grievances or positives you wish to share about the event then please post, If you are going to moan about the weather take them elsewhere....
I've been reading about some issues that have been popping up occasionally with them, though I thought you genuinely DC'd as with Itz just a few moments before you left there was a whopper lag spike,
