OOR's long format enduros work nicely but it was a weird decision for their 3hr series. If you're on the fence about it Matt then you should send them a message if you are in their discord.

I could be in for it if wifey agrees and anyone wants to pair up with me.
Full disclosure: I am not very fast, but happy to carry the flag of good sportsmanship :p

Got the all clear, would anyone like the curse blessing of being my teammate?
Don't really mind the car as long as it doesn't rhyme with dorsche because those cars point the wrong direction when I drive them.

Haha Porsche's are fun when you get the hang of them - but I know what you mean!

I wish I could get involved but that Saturday is a no-can-do for me. I really hope a few more Roozers are able to take up the mantle :).
    Yep that's what it's about!

Agree it's good to know before, at least.
But I don't understand the fascination with pit stops. I suppose it's similar to people thinking of a use of technology - rather than developing tech to solve a problem.
And in this case the tech was the BOP so carefully worked-out and regularly updated - and then thrown-out the window!

Related to this I've been arguing (suggesting?) with SRO that their GTWC esports series should be, at least partly, invitational. Takes more work than having hot lap qualifying. But means they could invite the best racers from across the region - rather than hot lap specialists who might not be the best in close combat (as we saw last season).

    Grumble, grumble, etc...

Imagine regional qualifying races instead of the hotlap style.

Should be plenty of places available. Find yourself a team mate and go for it.

Firstly, much thanks to @Flukey for his patience!

Due to technical difficulty bought on by Teamspeak I missed most of the practice and qualifying. Returning only in time to watch Fluke finish the last qualifying lap!

The opening stint by Fluke set the whole race up by keeping it clean and quick  The Mclaren's setup was nice and stable, probably not the quickest but we did end up ranking 4th on consistency. From there the race continued in a predictable 40 minute stints where I got easy traffic free runs while Fluke had to do all the battling :D We finishing 6th overall just behind 5th place (He got us just after the last pit stop) and most importantly, the first ROOZ team home.

Both of us started in the 1:56 laptimes in our stints and improved to 1:55's as the race progressed. We did a lot of defending with not many chances to overtake due to Fluke's first stint placing us further up the grid than our natural pace. Which is good as with the Mclaren's poor top speed any overtaking was going to be tricky!

Enjoyed the longer race and having a team mate certainly brings in extra motivation to not mess it up. Would have liked to have more options for strategy. The 45 minute stint limits forced everyone to basically do the same thing.

@Cooper and I teamed up for this and he got us started by qualifying 2nd! :roflmao:
A bit of a tactical muckup saw him racing the first stint with an extra 30L on board but he was still lightning around the ring and was fighting for third when he came in for the first stop. Enter the second tier driver, never been so high up the field in a proper race, definitely not panicking about tanking the race. Actually went really well though, was juuuust missing a tenth or two a lap to close in the second place who across our stints hovered between 8-15 seconds ahead.
We lost comms in the last hour which wasn't really a big deal. Until... With 25 minutes left Cooper had been trying type to speak but I couldn't hear over the engine, so I had a 'good' idea to alt tab the little teamspeak window on the main straight to see what he was writing, because he's a fast guy, good driver, might be some good info. ACC disagreed with this idea and froze the whole pc. So dnf................
3hrs40 of great racing for that to happen was real stink but left me wanting to try another big race like it. Was awesome fun up to that point, big thanks to Coop for being fast and a good coach

    :D
