might get on at around 8:00 tonight
just came across this link. there is a weekly weather chart for each track at the bottom of the page, this may be useful for future weather modelling
When I came up with the idea for the current weather model, which I will dub Race Day Weather 1.0, it was important for it to conform to the following rules:
Must be completely random, with no way for anyone (including the event organiser) to know what was going to happen until the day of the race.
Settings for each slot had to be based on exact data values, in this case the amount of rain in mm between specific times
For Race Day Weather 2.0, I would like to be able to develop these rules further to include settings for clouds. And also to make fog conditions more realistic, as fog typically only occurs on cold nights/mornings and when there is little or no wind.
Any further developments would still need to conform to the above 2 rules. Meaning the weather settings must be based on real data, which anyone can view, and will only be available on the day of the race (or certainly with no more than 24 hours notice).
Think I'll stick this here , get some practice in gent's .
Thanks Juzzy. I noticed the clip has 32 cars on track what's going on there? I thought 16 max?
Racing off line , love practice with that many , helps with race craft .
lol Juzz, you gotta start adding soundtrax!
my my my my Daytona! woo (doob doob dooby doob da doob doob dooby doob)
can someone confirm start time tomorrow night pls.....
Testing the memory here... 7:30pm for qualy which lasts 30 minutes and race kick off at 8pm.
Yeah, 30 minute qually is obviously longer than we normally run, but necessary for a couple of reasons. 1 being that with multi-class, people may need the chance to do a few runs in order to get at least 1 with clear track. 2 being long tracks like Le Mans and Nords.
@v8power383 did you end up getting a 4g dongle or similar to strengthen your connection? Can't remember the others who needed to connect first
Whats a dongle man ?.
Ive been running a D-Link DWR-921-03D6 LTE 4G modem connected by ethernet cable to the PS4 Pro and i nornmally have speeds between 14-32mbps down and 3-9mbps up and 14-29ms ping.
This setup worked fine until Project Cars 2 did the 3rd update and its been a fight ever since so I'm not sure what the problem is
Oh, thought you were running off a 4g phone or something. Whoops
Obvious question I know. But do you reset it regularly and make sure everyone else in the house is tied up with all other Wi-Fi devices turned off
The only thing connected to the WiFi is my Sony Xperia table which runs my pcars dash and all automatic updates are turned off and i reset the modem every time I plan on getting online
Anyone know anyone keen to race for me tonight I can sub in the wife but she's worried she will crash or make someone crash
Looking like Team FCR needs another driver also.... first in best dressed...go!
You have to drive the Ferrari GTE.
With the weather settings if there is no rain we set it at fine. We never have any cloud cover unless it rains?
