I'll post up full res pictures here so the race write up's don't get bogged down with pictures.
I don't have any from the first or second race and there will be a disproportionate amount from Nurburg since it was so eventful and I've got excess time on account of being crook!

If I post full size they get cropped, so I'll post thumbnails and you can click on them for a full size view.

Trial Mountain. Just two pics from me this race.
This one sums up my race. Taken about 3s ahead in 2nd and just out of reach for 22 laps!

It was a rough race for some as Outta shows some panel damage chasing SidFire for 4th position

The Enduro. Most people went 2 pits. A couple of us (incl me) went for 1.
I took more photos than this but unfortunately forgot to save a couple, so some incidents I've not captured.

    Lap 1, 5mins into an early morning cold start. Outta's in the sand and let's Taken into 5th. Top positions are;
    1. Stonemonkey
    2. Beau
    3. KoAStR
    4. Vrrmm
    [IMG]

    Lap 1 heading into the final straight. Top four are close. Positions same as above;

Lap 2, 3 mins in, Beau takes 1st place. The top 3 pull away from Vrrmm.

Lap 2 final straight, Stonemonkey slipstreams for 1st. Vrrmm, Taken, and OA can be seen in the distance.

Lap 3, 1 min in, Beau has a look in around Stone and gets bumped off, dropping back to 3rd.

Mid Lap 3 Stone power oversteers into the wall and gives up two positions. KoAStR now 1st, with Beau in 2nd.

Lap 3 back straight, Beau and KoAStR neck-a-neck. Beau takes 1st but pits. KoAStR continues on.

Outta pits just ahead of Stone in 5th place. Seems he's had some disagreements with the back end of his Supra.
(Not shown) - TTR Joe continues for a 1 pit strategy and takes 2nd place... for a while.

Lap 4, Never enough, also still on his 1st set of tyres, pushes a bit hard to keep up with Taken. Looses 5th to Vrrmm.

Lap 5, into the Karoussel. KoAstR's first glimpse of Beau in the background closing in on his much newer tyres.

Lap 5, onto the straightaway Beau spins into the wall and drops back to 3rd. KoAStR pits and the pack is spread (not shown).

Lap 7, halfway, Vrrm helps himself into the wall but no one is close enough to take position from him.

Lap 7, Taken in 1st gets a nudge from Beau on the corner exit 5mins in. With Taken facing the wrong way, Beau gets away.

Lap 9, first sectors, Beau re-appears to challenge KoAStR for 1st after giving up position during his 2nd pit lap 6. [IMG]

Lap 9, 2mins, Beau challenges for 1st. Light is fading and KoAStR runs out of track after some panel rubbing. Can't get back on track before the next corner and greets the wall rather harshly.

Final straight. Taken will slipstream KoAStR and take 2nd from him.....

Or will he? KoAStR returns the favour and it's a neck-a-neck battle of nerves into the final corners.
    (KoAStR left, Taken right);

KoAStR takes 2nd after Taken politely redresses a collision into the final corner (not shown).
Vrrm finishes in 6th with Outta and Never enough close behind.

And that's that! A gloomy dawn till dusk on the Nurburg Nordschleif.

View the pictures on Photobucket tip:
    1. Ctrl click a thumbnail from the posts above to open the photobucket album in a new tab.
    2. Click the photobucket image to zoom, a zoom button will appear across the top of the image (will zoom to fit your window)
    3. Use the left/right arrow keys to navigate through the pictures without leaving the full zoom view.
    4. Click the full zoom image to zoom out again.

I've got the Race 2 (Monza) replay so if there's any requests I'll take some pics from that too. It was a fairly uneventful race for me so I've not bothered so far.

Fuji / F- 21 laps.. I recommend viewing the pictures in full as the background detail is almost impossible to see in the thumbnails.

Lap 1 turn 1, can we fit any more cars into this corner?! Iconic Mt. Fuji background upper left.
    1st Stone, 2nd Koastr, 3rd Beau, 4th NeverEnough, 5th OuttaAngst, 6th Joe90, 7th FloodSim, 8th Leeboy, 9th Sidfire
    [IMG]

Lap 3 straight, Stone prepares to slip-stream Beau for 2nd position chasing Koastr in 1st.

Lap 4, turn 1, Stone in 1st, Koastr 2nd, Beau, 3rd compete for position. The only corner I've seen the Supra exhibit any body roll as they turn hard through the tight apex. Background: NeverEnough 4th, OuttaAngst 5th and the peak of Mt. Fuji upper right
    [IMG]

Lap 4, 2nd to last turn, disaster for Stone. In 1st position Stone takes a "wide cut" penalty and Koastr follows (not shown). Beau passes into 1st, Koastr 2nd. As Stone recovers now in 3rd he spins up (see his helmet facing the direction he's supposed to be travelling!) into the wall and drops back to 7th.

Lap 5, heading towards the hair pin. Like a game of cards with all the position shuffling NeverEnough 3rd, OuttaAngst 4th, Floodsim 5th and Joe90 6th. compete for positions (Beau and Koastr background behind the fence), the pack breaks up into pairs for a while.

Lap 15, Leeyboy in 6th shows his smashed up rear end after colliding with the pit entry wall earlier as he and OuttaAngstin 5th speed passed the iconic Mt. Fuji.

Lap 18, turn 1. Almost three abreast as OA (right 6th), Leeboy (centre 5th), and Floodsim (left 7th) has caught up to compete for 5th position. The front of OA's Supra is exhibiting effects of a little race love'n.

Lap 18, turn 2. Side by side as OA, Leeboy, and Floodsim compete for 5th position!

Lap 19 going on 20, straight. Beau has finally taken 1st from Joe after his marathon zero pit stop strategy. With only minutes remaining, Koastr is still several seconds behind Joe, but on newer rubber.

Final lap (21), Koastr takes 2nd from Joe after the hairpin exit. Never Enough will finish 4th with nothing but fresh air front and back (not shown).

Final lap (21), 2nd to last turn, down to the wire. Leeboy runs wide and smokes up but gets a better line into the corner apex and clinches 6th place from Outta after a long battle with Floodsim for 5th (Floodsim not shown).

Thanks guys, appreciate the positive feedback.
I'm quite proud of some of these pics actually.. plus it's way easier than watching the replay for those who weren't involved!

I certainly makes it easier. Some great shots as well. It's not like you're some mug posting photo's....they're all great. I love our one from the Ring. 9 laps on the ring and you and I end up side my side going into the final few corners. Awesome.

Thanks mate. I try and make each photo more than just a screen shot, so it's a stand alone dynamic and striking reflection of events. The rule of 3rds prevails!

Yea that finish and Nurburg was awesome, really enjoyed that and it sure got the blood pumping even just reviewing the replay! But screw watching an hour of replay again to get to that bit, so the photo's are a great quick access reminder. PD should add fast foward and rewind to replays, but even then the replays take up alot of HDD space on my old 80GB PS3, so I won't be able to keep them forever.

That is awesome Koastr, with all the pics and commentary. This league with all the close and fair racing is the only reason I still play GT5!

    Nurburg GP/F. 13 Laps.

Lap 1 Turn 1 - After an excellent launch Koastr moves into 1st, OA 2nd, Beau drops from poll back to 3rd.
By turn 2 OA has taken the inside line into 1st (not shown). 4th NeverEnough, 5th Leeboy, 6th Floodsim, 7th Sidfire, 8th Stone, 9th Joe
    [IMG]

Lap 2 Turn 1 - Koastr has taken 1st, 2nd Outta, 3rd Beau, 4th Leeboy, NeverEnough will pass Stone through the turn for 6th.

Lap 2 Turn 7 - OuttaAngst brakes way too late for the hairpin and tries to get out of the sand quick and provides opportunity for KoAStR to open up a gap on his lead. Positions as above.

Lap 2 Turn 7 aftermath - Stone spins up into the inside wall as Leeboy runs wide into the sand in sympathy of Outta.
NeverEnough moves into 3rd, OuttaAngst 4th, Joe 5th, Flood 6th. Koastr speeds passed in the foreground.

Lap 2 Turn 7 carnage continues! - After dropping back early on, Sidfire is over eagre to put Stone into last position as Stone recovers from his spin. There's an incident and Sid spins several times as Stone pulls back on track through Sid's dust cloud.

Lap 3 Chicane - Leeboy shuts the door on some bold moves by Joe as they compete for 5th with Floodsim in toe. Joe runs the chicane wide, a mistake which will be the end of his race.

Lap 4 Turn 7 - Outta up the inside of NeverEnough as they compete for 3rd. NeverEnough takes back the position into the chicane (not shown).

Lap 5 Turn 7 - Koastr still with a couple of seconds lead over Beau, who has also pulled a significant gap over NeverEnough in 3rd. Outta 4th, Leeboy 5th, and Stone (just visible) are in toe.
(Koastr is just behind the over-head sign left, ahead of Beau exiting the hairpin. Stone is very very top right, almost hiddent by the GT logo)

Lap 8 Chicane - Beau takes 1st from Koastr after closing the gap and being glued to his bumber for the last lap or so.

Lap 10 Chicane - After several lead changes, Koastr makes a move around the outside of Beau under brakes for 1st.
With superior tyre management, Beau retakes 1st Lap 11 Turn 1 and goes on to win (not shown).

Lap 11 Chicane - After a sustained battle for 6th, Stone climbs back on track following a squirly exit from the chicane but spins it completely once on the tarmac. Sidfire (background) reclaims position. Stone will pass Sidfire again, but more mistakes keeps Sidfire in front to finish in 6th.

All in all a very clean race, with most competitors exhibiting no obvious panel damage this week, despite some interesting and sustained battles.

The big finale', 16 laps of the iconic Monaco (Cote d'Azure).

Off the grid it's a tight and exciting start - 1st Taken (far right), 2nd Beau, 3rd OuttaAngst (far left), 4th Koastr.

Out of turn 1 - Outta gets a bump from Beau and gets crossed up. With no where to go Koastr helps him to go all the way around (sorry mate!). Into the wall and back to last position, Outta has his work cut out for him now.

Lap 3 Turn 3 - KoAStR reclaims 3rd position from Stonemonkey as they enter Massenet. Never Enough is not far behind in 5th (not shown).

Lap 8 Turn 1 - OuttaAngst fights with Leeboy to maintain position after clawing his way back to 5th. NeverEnough is just ahead in 4th.

Lap 8 Pits - NeverEnough is one of the few to pit and drops back to 7th.

Lap 10 through the chicane - KoAStR gets the once-a-lap (or so) glimpse of Beau ahead in 2nd just before he disappears again around turn 12, but can't close the gap. Outta is now in 4th, a valiant effort after his early incident, but the gap to KoAStR is bigger than KoAStR's gap to Beau.

Lap 15/16 Down to the wire! - Sparks fly as Taken graces the wall getting as wide as possible to turn into turn 12. Beau is all over Taken (whose tyres are shot!) right into the final laps.

A great end to Season 2. Takens pole to 1st position and overall fastest lap effort sees him secure 3rd place in the Championship standings despite 3 DNS's!

Thanks mate. Yea I thought so too..

In practice and in the race I saw you sparking the wall and really wanted to get a photo of it. Live sparks look better but the photo came out pretty descent.

I really like that one of me and Stone coming around Massenet too. Real moody, good gloss on the cars and a flattering angle.

The photo in the pits is a bit unique, I've been trying to get one for a while. You can't actually put the camera in there and there's usually a big barrier or chain fence in the way of a shot from the track. Monaco was a perfect opportunity with only a low barrier between the track and the pits. Was stoked when I noticed that.
