Season 4 Division 1 highlights by KoAStR

The start of the new Season 4 welcomes the McLaren and some exceptional new talent. Both of which get showcased over an epic 24 laps of Cape Ring South.

Lap 1 T6 - The grid settles into a beautiful single file as Small_fryz enters the chicane, retaining the lead from his pole position. Trailing in order, Beau, KoAStR, Paulie, Nicko, Outta, Chev, Stig, and finally NeverEnough


Lap 2 T2 - Beau (left) and KoAStR (right) go door-to-door for 2nd spot. Beau will retain position. Background positions as above.


Lap 2 Hairpin - Small_fryz retakes the lead from Beau as NeverEnough runs the sweeper wide onto the grass in the background and drops back to last position. Unfortunately this is the last time we see Paulie, as he drops out unexpectedly early next lap with mechanical failure (DC'd)


Lap 7 T1 - Beau crawls back on track after running out of brakes under KoAStR's slip stream into the first turn. Nicko passes in the shot, Outta and Chev will also pass leaving Beau in 6th.


Lap 10 T1 - Beau and Chev go head-to-head in an epic battle. Chev will maintain 5th position until the same point next lap where Beau will make his move stick.


Lap 10 home straight - KoAStR pits early after surprisingly closing the gap to the race leader Fryz. Nicko rounds the hairpin in 3rd.


Lap 12 home straight - After Nicko runs deep in the hairpin, Outta passes on the inside. As Nicko powers down and pulls his nose back along side Outta he gets squeazed into the pit wall entry, dropping to 6th position as he spins. Cyber_Stig pits for tyres and some much need rear panel beating.


Lap 14 final sector sweepers - Another epic battle for Beau, now in 3rd, with Outta following close through the most hair raising section of the course. Chev watches the action from 5th.


Lap 19 T7 - Small_fryz spins over the crested exit from the chicanes. Agonizingly close to reaching slip stream range on the race leader KoAStR, Fryz has been slowly closing the gap on slightly fresher tyres after loosing position during his pit stop. This also brings Beau back onto Fryz's tail. Beau will take 2nd position by lap 21.


Lap 24 final sector sweepers - Outta, with Chev awesomely close through the dangerously fast final sector, as they battle it out right to the end for 4th position.

looks like nicko had a major stack.

The second round of Season 4 takes us to Nurburgring GP/D for two 10 lap sprints.

Race 1
Lap 7 Turn 1 exit - Chev pressures KoAStR to drive a little defensively as he has done for the last few laps challenging to round out the podium. Paulie just ahead, is now a distant 2nd to Small_fryz with whom he stuck to well until incurring a short cut penalty earlier in the race.


Lap 10 Turn 2 - MaxPower in 6th has AussieInfidel and Ansquad in hot pursuit jousting for position.


Lap 10 Turn 7 exit - the three way battle for 6th will go right to the end. MaxPower and AussieInfidel go door-to-door as they hammer down towards the final chicane. AussieInfidels rear end shows damage from the trials of the day, as does Ansquads front end!


Race 1 results - Small_fryz with a blazing pole to 1st plus fastest lap performance sorta got away from the photo action!

Sprint Race 2 with the reverse grid at Nurburg GP/D was action packed!

Lap 1 back straight - Small_fryz moves up the outside into 7th, NeverEnough, Outta, Paulie follow closley.


Lap 3 Turn 3 - Chevwah and Fryz battle for 6th as they follow KoAStR 5th, lost-on-druz, and CyberSTIG 4th.


Lap 5 Turn 5 - KoAStR and Fryz narrowly avoid collision with lost-on-drugs and he power oversteers off track. Cyber_Stig (ahead) and Chev (behind) steer clear of the incident.


Lap 5 Turn 5 - Paulie makes a move for 8th position passing NeverEnough under brakes. Outta, Chev, Stig, and fryz (now in 4th) can be seen rounding the bend.


Lap 6 Turn 1 - KoAStR passes Infidel up the inside for 2nd. Ansquad has pulled a healthly lead, now entering Turn 2.


Lap 8 Turn 4 - Paulie powers down too hard too early and gets all crossed up. Fortunately for Paulie NeverEnough has no where to go and he retains the position. Infidel soldiers on now in 7th.


Lap 10 home straight - NeverEnough and Paulie enter the final turn side by side and grit there teeth as they get the power down on corner exit still neck-a-neck. A bit of panel rubbing and Paulie looses traction, and with the checkered flag in site, also looses the finishing position.
