Season I - F1 2016 RACEONOZ Formula One World Championship (PS4)

An interesting race to say the least, however qualifying was a huge disappointment, offline I did a an 11.0 so to only manage an 11.4 was a bummer. Then the start! Wowee, not sure why I forgot to put in gear but damn, that error was embarrassing.

I was relieved to get past Nigel and Knuckles, however I'm sorry if I caused you to spin Knuckes, it was super tight. Soon I had Jason and Spectre in my sights, after an error by the former I was up into 5th. Spectre was pulling away but I realised we were eating chunks into the leaders. Once all the soft runners pitted, Seth and I were running 1st and 2nd. I got the gap down to 2 seconds when we both put the hard tyres on. Weirdly though I came out more than 5 seconds behind him, with all the work to do again.

Zachery was keeping him honest on his older tyres, while Benny sped off. I was gaining heavily on the fighting pair when Benny came out just behind me, going to the end. I figured with him being much faster he would carry me towards the top two, so I let him through on the back straight, or tried to. I moved to the inside but so did he, and then he messed up the next corner so that was time wasted. Then 2 laps after I let him through again, he pitted! I couldn't work out why.

Once again I started to gain on Zachery and Seth, as Zachery went for the undercut, a decision that won him the race. I pushed like hell to get up to him, but I pitted first to get the undercut. It didn't quite work but I was now firmly in DRS range. We spent the next 15 laps or so nose tail. I let my fuel catch up so I could launch an attack. On lap 70, I turned the wick up and got a perfect run out of the Senna S. I pulled alongside and was ahead, but Seth broke later into turn 4, and we both ran wide as a result. In my efforts to get back on track we made contact and I was in the wall.

Luckily the damage wasn't terminal so I limped home for 3rd. Relieved but disappointed I lost more points after the pace I had. Super job @Zachery, unbelievable drive.

I pitted because I damaged the front wing, not sure if it was lag or me misjudging where to brake, ran into the back of you on the last slow turn. Was a pitty as I had already completed my last stop and was right on the tail of the leaders, so on paper I had it in the bag, very dissapointed in myself for messing it up.

Jesus looking back through the calendar since October, So much fkn racing has been done its got me baffled how we have all managed seems like so long ago but at the same time seems like yesterday

Already looking forward to S2, S1 has been a big learning experience. At a lot of circuits it will be learning over again in S2 now that the tyre wear glitch is gone. Will be good to see a variety of strategies play out.

DRIVERS BRIEFING FINAL ROUND - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix - 28 LAPS

TYRES: US, SS, S


Please read the following carefully and 'like' it when you have read and understood it.

TRACK LIMITS : As per our rules and regs drivers must keep 2 wheels on the ripple strips or white lines at all times. We all make a mistake or 2, but if you are caught "continually and obviously" running outside the track limits to gain advantage you will be penalized by the stewards group.

CONTACT : CONTACT IS TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL TIMES. If you make contact with the car in front, and gain an advantage you MUST REDRESS and give the place back. Failure to do so could result in a penalty from the stewards group.

PASSING: Yas Marina has two prime overtaking spots, both with DRS assistance. Apart from there, this is a very difficult track pass on.

SWERVING : You are NOT permitted to swerve from side to side on the straights. Drivers may only change direction ONCE on corner entry.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Dont need to be a rocket scientist to know that you cant win the race in the first corner, but you sure as hell can lose it for yourself and / or ruin another drivers races by either being too aggressive OR too defensive into T1. Use your brains here lads and give room to those around you. Drivers in the back half of the grid need to brake a little earlier and not cause chaos with crazy passes.

PIT LINES : Please take the correct entry (max 2 wheels over the unbroken white lines either side on the pathway into the pits) and on exit, you may not cut the exit line AT ALL, otherwise you will receive a warning.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. With the circuit being so short, there is slightly more chance of blue flags coming into play, so you should be aware of the leaders coming up on you, and move out of the way as soon as possible. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty.

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : From Brazil onwards we have been using the new stewards group for racing infringements and protests. The specific Stewards group thread will have all the info in it, regarding rules and regs, and the protest procedure. Please read it and understand how it works.

QUITTING : This has become a huge problem as of late, remember in this series, a safety car will bring you back into the fight. As usual, if you have had enough or need to leave, make sure you retire the car before leaving the lobby. Failure to do so will result in 3 penalty points against your name.

RECORD YOUR RACE! : Please remember to record your footage via pre recording it or saving it after the race. If you want to protest anything, we can only act on the info we have in front of us, failure to do so will not enable us to view things from your game perspective, and with some of the issues we have seen, this could have a massive influence on how the stewards group will view and rule on any incident. You must file your protest by 12PM on Friday.

On a final note, I'd just like to say whatever happens during this race, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for taking part in this season and making it go from strength to strength. It's been bloody stressful trying to manage it but boy has it been rewarding. And at the end of it all, we all have a tale or two to tell from this remarkable season.

Time settings for tomorrow

Lap guide and setup for Abu Dhabi - there's still a fair bit of time in it but you get the idea, a low 38 is doable, but im all outa care factor tonight

That was the world #1 time trial time - I put it as the ghost to try and see how the hell they were getting into the 34s... well the answer was obvious pretty quickly that they were exploiting a glitch and cutting the track there.

Hoping to be home in time for start. Otherwise its see you all next season.
