Invites tend to get sent out around the 8pm mark. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later, but always somewhere around then. And normally qualifying will start at 8:20ish, depending on who's running late from their team meetings at the pub...

DRIVERS BRIEFING R9 - Hungarian Grand Prix - 35 Laps
    Time of Day: Sunset
    Previous Winner: Zachery

Please read the following carefully and 'like' it when you have read and understood it.

TRACK LIMITS : As per our rules and regs drivers must keep 2 wheels on the ripple strips or white lines at all times. We all make a mistake or 2, but if you are caught "continually and obviously" running outside the track limits to gain advantage you will be penalized by the stewards group.

CONTACT : CONTACT IS TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL TIMES. If you make contact with the car in front and gain an advantage, you MUST REDRESS and give the place back. Failure to do so could result in a penalty from the stewards group.

PASSING : Hungary is the Monaco without the walls. Overtaking chances are scarce here. It is advised you be patient however, and wait for the opportunity to arise.

SWERVING : You are NOT permitted to swerve from side to side on the straights. Drivers may only change direction ONCE on corner entry.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : Dont need to be a rocket scientist to know that you cant win the race in the first corner, but you sure as hell can lose it for yourself and / or ruin another drivers races by either being too aggressive OR too defensive into T1. Use your brains and give room to those around you. Drivers in the back half of the grid need to brake a little earlier in order to not cause chaos with crazy passes.

PIT LINES : Please take the correct entry (max 2 wheels over the unbroken white lines either side on the pathway into the pits) and on exit, you may not cut the exit line AT ALL, otherwise you will receive a warning.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. You should be aware of the leaders coming up on you, and move out of the way as soon as possible. Best to get off the race line, and with a small lift let them go, so you can continue the fight with those in your class. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty.

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : We will be using the stewards group for racing infringements and protests. The specific Stewards group thread will have all the info in it, regarding rules and regs, and the protest procedure. Please read it and understand how it works.
    http://www.raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/stewards-group-official-thread.2593/

PENALTY POINTS: For this season you can only be awarded Penalty Points if you have been protested, fail to upload your pole position lap, make a track limit infringment on the lap, quit without retiring or spam the PS4 Group Chat.

GROUP CHAT: The chat will be used to convey vital information between sessions. Please do not spam the chat during a qualifying or race session unless it is to warn drivers regarding lag.

QUITTING : This is a huge problem in this game, remember in this series, a safety car will bring you back into the fight. As usual, if you have had enough or need to leave, make sure you retire the car before leaving the lobby. Failure to do so will result in 3 penalty points against your name.

RECORD YOUR RACE! : Please remember to record your footage via pre recording it or saving it after the race. If you want to protest anything, we can only act on the info we have in front of us, failure to do so will not enable us to view things from your game perspective, and with some of the issues we have seen, this could have a massive influence on how the stewards group will view and rule on an incident.

Not sure if the setups the same every where, but I just double press the "share" button (also labeled as SE on my wheel) and that starts it. Double press again to stop.

I'm pretty sure you need to check settings somewhere though,as you can change the length of the recording (60 mins is the max).

Just looked, press share button once and a menu appears, sharing and broadcast settings and change length of clip to 60 minutes.

    There are two methods.
Double tap the share button, ensuring you have set it to record for 60mins in the Sharing and Broadcasts section in the PS4 settings. Double tap at the end to save gameplay.
Or you can set it to 60mins, and at the end of the race, hold the share button to bring up a sub menu, then press square.

(I have mine set on Easy Screenshots, so you only just have to press the share button to bring up the menu.)

Tomorrow marks 3 years since the passing of one of ROOZ's favourite members and all round top bloke, @bjh1012. To mark the occasion, I've decided to race tonight with a helmet painted in his classic Green and #51. He is very sadly missed.

Well, it's taken 9 race starts, but I've finally been involved in some first lap chaos. Penalised for an illegal over take on a car I'm pretty certain was headed to the wall and then got warned for a collision with another car who was coming off the wall and back onto the track. In hindsight, probably lucky to get through turn 1 with only front wing damage.

And my race didn't get much better from there. Nearly had a huge stack into one of the hairpins as I was actually chasing someone down for a little while. Misjudged my braking point because all the signs had been cleaned up (might need to start picking some more sturdy brake markers in the future...) and pretty much couldn't turn it in. Had an absolutely shocking second half of the race, all capped off with a puncture after hitting a wall. Absolutely struggled to even make the finish.

Unlucky Jurassic. Get races like those. Good and honourable of u to stay the course of the race.

My first F1 race online and almost scored a point for Sauber before Zharves robbed me of it on the final turn haha.
The Saubers definitely no match for other cars at 3 seconds off the pole position time and i had it hooked up like Alonso in Spain through every corner.
Had some good (winless) battles. I tried to get out the way where i could when pitted front runners would come through.
    Cheers

Well that was just awful, I have no clue how my car turned from an absolute speed machine before the race to an absolute pig in the lobby.

Having hit the front I was controling the pace but the tyre wear was unbelievable, and despite entering the pits in the lead, my pit crew let me down something horrid and Seth got in front. The mediums were good for about 2 laps (and that's being kind) before I started slipping backwards faster than soap on the edge of a bathtub. I screwed myself even more by staying out too long on the mediums, so long in fact I was nearly caught before my stop.

An extremely head scratching race where nothing went right apart from the SC restart.

    WD Benny on the win!

Bit disappointed about qualifying with a scruffy 1st lap on the SS and missing out the chance to have another crack at it put me 6th on the grid.
Had a decent start but some others ahead bogged down meaning i was 3 wide coming into the first corner. Amazingly we got through unscathed however same can't be said about the mid field and that caused a safety car.

Restarted fourth which would begin the most intense piece of racing i've had this season with the likes of Jono, Seth, Razor, Warrior, Benny and Zharvs all within a couple of seconds on degrading SS tyres. Their was one point where Jono and Seth made contact while battling for the lead which checked everybody up to point where i drove around the outside of 2 people in the chicane. Most of us including myself pitted on lap 10, Seth and i put the softs on while Jono and Razor went for the mediums. I have to apologise to Nigel for being double stacked but not entirely much i could of done. Got passed Jono comfortably and set my eyes on Seth but like the previous 2 races just seemed to have that slight edge and never was able to gain enough to catch him.

Second stop occurred lap 22 to put softs on to get to the end and to try and gain some time of Seth who was around 3 seconds up the road. However Seth pitted the next lap and the undercut chance was ruined. With Benny somehow in the lead, Seth up the road and pulling away, Knuckles trying to make it home on the mediums and Razor and Jono on SS i knew it would be difficult to finish on the podium. Knuckles was easy to get passed but Razor was flying on the SS and inevitably lap 32 he got passed for 3rd.

However Jono wasn't anywhere near as close as i had thought he would be and in the end i nursed the car home in 4th which after the shocking race here last season and Hungary being one of my weaker circuits i was happy to finish 4th and claim more solid points. Congrats to the podium as well looking forward to Monza

And to @MrF1 i won in the Sauber and claimed 5 podiums in it last season. But as someone said tonight in pre lobby all the cars have slight differences with how they feel. I found the Sauber is more of an understeering car while the Mercedes is more oversteering.
