to be honest though, this season if you paired any other div 1 & 2 driver together, they still wouldn't have beaten Ferrari this season.

yeah not taking anything away from you guys at all. but when we essentially have 1 or 2 teams with both drivers who actually showed, its something that could be improved.

The only way to get constructors to be competitive in anyway is to pair the 6 strongest drivers who will be there every week, but then the other 7 teams have no chance.

or take my earlier suggestion of pairing teams with other teams and taking the top 2 scores each week.

if you grouped the div 1 drivers together, and then had div2 drivers together. then you could have a consturctors champs which gets its score from the divisons. so if, for example, me and seth finished first and 3rd we would get 41 points (25+16) and if say, Jim and Hatfield finished 7th and 9th (1st and 2nd in div 2) then they would get 45 points (25+20) as thats what they scored in the div2 championship...

how the drivers select their team mates is up to them, but they would have to pick someone in their own division. that way, the drivers who intend to show each round could be with each other.

I honestly don't think it's every going to be relevant. It's just pot luck if you wind up in a team with someone who shows up or not.
If we had 10 full teams showing up each week, the div1/2 teams would work great, especially if you work together as a team, helping with setups, strategies and in-race adjustments. But with number fluctuating anywhere from 10 to 17, I don't see the point at all.

I can already hear the groans if @razor4797 and @seth123 ended up being a team for example...
Plus I don't want to force people into cars they don't want to drive. Not to mention pairing random people together regardless of car, kind of defeats the whole purpose of choosing a car...

Seeing as you walked it in, 2 div 1 drivers in the same team.

just scrap the whole teams champs entirely then and leave it as no teams, every man for himself.

I know the attendance will be hit hard but it would be nice to send off F1 2016 with a fitting farewell.

DRIVERS BRIEFING Final Round - Australian Grand Prix - 29 Laps
Time of Day: Midday Previous Winner: Beau

Please read the following carefully and 'like' it when you have read and understood it.

TRACK LIMITS : As per our rules and regs drivers must keep 2 wheels on the ripple strips or white lines at all times. We all make a mistake or 2, but if you are caught "continually and obviously" running outside the track limits to gain advantage you will be penalised by the stewards group.

CONTACT : CONTACT IS TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL TIMES. If you make contact with the car in front, and gain an advantage you MUST REDRESS and give the place back. Failure to do so could result in a penalty from the stewards group.

PASSING : Melbourne is a difficult track for passing. While it may seem there are at least 4 major passing spots, the field tends to spread out significantly, leaving the 2nd DRS zone as the primary overtaking place.

SWERVING : You are NOT permitted to swerve from side to side on the straights. Drivers may only change direction ONCE on corner entry.

TURN 1 LAP 1 : You do not need to be a rocket scientist to know that you can't win the race in the first corner, but you sure as hell can lose it for yourself and/or ruin another drivers races by either being too aggressive OR too defensive into T1. Use your brains and give room to those around you. Drivers in the back half of the grid need to brake a little earlier and not cause chaos with crazy passes.

PIT LINES : Please take the correct entry (max 2 wheels over the unbroken white lines either side on the pathway into the pits) and on exit, you may not cut the exit line AT ALL, otherwise you will receive a warning. It is STRONGLY recommended you turn pit assist on, so you do not spit yourself onto the racing line exiting the pits.

BLUE FLAGS : Please observe blue flags, and move out of the way of faster cars if you are being lapped. You should be aware of the leaders coming up on you. Please do not slow down in a dangerous spot. Stick to one side of the road and do not swerve. Failure to observe blue flags WILL result in a penalty. In addition, it is asked you move to the side instead of moving off the track and stopping. You are in a race too, you are just as much as part of the race as the leaders. Not holding up the leaders is paramount, but stopping on the side of the track causes unnecessary yellow flags, which can interrupt a battle for position.

STEWARDS GROUP AND RACE PROTESTS : We will be using the stewards group for racing infringements and protests. The specific Stewards group thread will have all the info in it, regarding rules and regs, and the protest procedure. Please read it and understand how it works.

    http://www.raceonoz.com/forums/index.php?threads/stewards-group-official-thread.2593/

PENALTY POINTS: For this season you can only be awarded Penalty Points if you have been protested, fail to upload your pole position lap, make a track limit infringment on the lap, quit without retiring or spamming the PS4 Group Chat.

GROUP CHAT: The chat will be used to convey vital information between sessions. Please do not spam the chat during a qualifying or race session unless it is to warn drivers regarding lag.

QUITTING : This is a huge problem in this game, remember in this series, a safety car will bring you back into the fight. As usual, if you have had enough or need to leave, make sure you retire the car before leaving the lobby. Failure to do so will result in 3 penalty points against your name.

RECORD YOUR RACE!: Please remember to record your footage via pre recording it or saving it after the race. If you want to protest anything, we can only act on the info we have in front of us, failure to do so will not enable us to view things from your game perspective, and with some of the issues we have seen, this could have a massive influence on how the stewards group will view and rule on an incident.
