Yeah I think a white square with a black border and the raceonoz logo on top would be perfect. Hopefully it will be something all of us can use in a the community events.
That’s perfect! I’m happy for everyone to pick their own number styles and have some extra creativity for the liveries as long as the numbers are visible.
Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates lately things have been pretty busy in the real life along with trying to finalise everything with this series. I’ll be making another post later tonight with an announcement of the car specs, room details and changes to the race distances to help make sure the nights don’t drag on
IRL Series Update With the opening round of the series a little over a week away, some key announcements to help the preperations for the competitors have been announced. Car Specs The most important announcement of all is the car specs. Following a large number of laps around Interlagos we have settled on the specs for round 1, with confirmation for the rest of the series to follow shortly. Honda NS-X 700hp and 1049kg Nissan GT-R 704hp and 1020kg Lexus 712hp and 999kg Race Lengths The race lengths for all race will now be adjusted to a shorter length to help ensure the race nights dont drag out and finish too late. As a result these will be the race lengths for each round. Round 1 - Interlagos: 3 x 15 Lap races (Time of Day 13:45) Round 2 - Willow Springs: 1 x 63 lap race (Time of Day 19:50) Round 3 - Dragon Trail: Unchanged (Time of Day 10:00) Round 4 - Nurburgring: 1 x 14 lap race & 1 x 24 lap race (Time of Day 15:00) Round 5 - Suzuka: 1 x 43 Lap race (Time of Day 14:30) Round 6 - Bathurst: 1 x 41 lap race (Time of Day 12:00) Round 7 - St Croix C: 1 x 23 lap race (Time of Day 15:10) The Bathurst race, originally supposed to be a team format with finishing positions decided by combined results will now see points awared based on each drivers individual finishing position. Teams Championship Due to a smaller amount of entries, the teams championship will be removed and replaced with a manufacturers championship. The best 3 drivers from each make will score points towards the manufacturers championship. Number board The RaceOnOz number board decal is now available for download and application to liveries. The link for the ROOZ number board is below: https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/user/decal/1121185/5908732688388326936 Room Settings Lastly, room settings are now finalised. They will be posted in the OP so everyone can use these settings in any practice rooms.
Drivers Briefing @JonoStan96 @Captain_Risky_21 @xlxy90 @Toranafan-02 @Stokesy @Brent Bulliman @seth123 Welcome everyone to the first drivers briefing of the season. I'll try to keep things as short as possible this week, but there are a few important things to go through before we get started. Race Details Track: Interlagos GP Time of Day: 13:45 Format: 3 x Sprint Races (15 Laps) Timetable The following is the planned schedule of events for the night 7:30 PM - Room Opens and Practice begins 8:00 PM - Room Reset and Qualifying begins 8:10 PM - Race 1 (15 Laps) Races 2 & 3 to follow with a 10 minute break between races. Grid Order Grid order for race 1 will be based off the qualifying results, while the grids for Races 2 and 3 will be based off the results of the previous races. Pit Stops There will be no compulsory Pit Stops for any of the races as we anticipate all cars should make it to the end of the race on a tank of fuel. Racing: Soft Tyres will be the only tyres in use for this round. Decals Please make sure all of the decals of the site sponsors are visible on the car for racing if you are using a custom livery. Friend Request Please make sure you have sent out a friend request to myself before tomorrow night, the room will be set to private so it is necessary to be friends to ensure you get to race. Driving Standards I encourage everyone to race as clean as possible. Although as it is a Touring car series I'm okay with a little bit of side to side rubbing and bumping when making overtakes. However, if there is contact between 2 cars and it causes a driver to lose position/s and the situation is not readdressed then penalties may be applied depending on who we find to be at fault. That is all for this week. If you're planning to attend tomorrow night, please hit the like button so i can get a gauge on how many cars we will have racing tomorrow. I look forward to seeing everyone in the lobby tomorrow night!
