Well that went well.
Qualified mid-pack and changed to mediums to start.
Kept it consistent and was aided by the slipstream from the soft runners ahead who weren't pulling away as they needed to as they were battling... all except
@Steve Neilson who was building a big lead.
Pitted lap 12 for softs and set about catching him.
The gap dropped to about 2 secs before the soft tyres were slower than the mediums so he started to pull away again, except the time i was making at the chicane was enough to offset that and give me a net gain, and I caught the slipstream to help offset the further wearing tyres.
I made the pass with 2 to go, and then I had to defend.
Goof made his pass attempt into the chicane getting alongside on the inside, but this is what I wanted, as I could hold the outside which becomes the inside and that sealed the win. Good racing everyone, from what I saw anyway
