Better late than never. Monaco Mustafur, TTR_Joe90, Anon666, S_CLOSE, emmo46, bjh1012, OverDrivve, me and Sparklehead83 Tried really hard to get a good qualification lap in here because I knew how hard it was going to be to pass, but only managed to get into 7th. emmo46 ran straight through the pack at Sainte Devote but luckily was ghosting. I had OverDrivve on my inside and bjh1012 just ahead who ghosted through emmo46 but hit the outside wall with him. Had a slow exit and Sparklehead83 was right on top of me (literally) all the way up the hill, and when we separated and became solid again, he had the inside run into Massenet. OverDrivve, Sparklehead83, me and emmo46 S_CLOSE chasing down Anon666 and TTR_Joe90 Watched Sparklehead83 and OverDrivve battle it out while trying to keep emmo46 behind. Was getting some real good runs on Sparklehead83 coming out of the Piscine section but not enough room to get past at La Rascasse. End of lap 2, he got a bad run onto the start straight and I got past and set my sights on OverDrivve. Unfortunately he got a shocker of a run into Nouvelle Chicane, ran straight through and crashed dead stop into the wall at the exit. I could not avoid him and clouted him hard damaging my left front wheel and Sparklehead83 came back past. emmo46 was getting pretty impatient behind as was giving me little taps coming into La Rascasse until end of lap 4 when he pitted. I clouted the inside wall of the last corner and knew that was all emmo46 would need to pass me when I pitted so I put my head down to try make up for it with a good lap, but with Sparklehead83 just ahead of me making little mistakes here and there and I just could not get past him. We both pitted end of lap 5 and emmo46 passed us both as we came out. Closed right back up on Sparklehead83 on lap 7 at Mirabeau Haute and gave him a little tap. By the end of the lap we had seemed to close in a bit on emmo46, and coming out of the final turn Sparklehead83 was a little slow. We were side by side all the way down the start straight, and he held the inside line through Sainte Devote. We stayed side by side all the way up the hill and into Massenet I had the inside run but he stayed on my outside, then into Casino he had the inside run and trying to avoid contact I ended up clipping the outside wall and he got away from me. And that's how we finished. I closed back up on him in the last couple of corners but not close enough to pass and finished in a dismal but hard fought 7th. Mustafur got away early and didn't look back. bjh1012 did not have a very good race here. Monza me, emmo46, Sparklehead83, OverDrivve, Anon666 (obsc), bjh1012, TTR_Joe90, Mustafur and S_CLOSE I was really looking forward to this race. I felt I had some good pace, and with reverse grid I was in a prime position to take control of the race from the front. Started in 3rd and was leading by the time we got to where the first chicane normally is, followed closely by emmo46 and Sparklehead83 as we entered Curva Grande. The 3 of us made it through Variante de la Roggia but there seemed to be a bit of a mess behind us which gave us a bit of a gap. Sparklehead83 got past emmo46 at Ascari and when emmo46 tried to repass at the Parabolica he ran a little wide and fell back. Anon666 and Mustafur passing a rejoining emmo46 S_CLOSE, TTR_Joe90 and emmo46 Sparklehead83 slipstreamed past into Curva Grande lap 2, and I repaid the favour next lap. He came along side at Variante de la Roggia and stayed there till I outbraked him at Curve di Lesmo. All of a sudden it seemed, Mustafur and Anon666 had joined our battle. Mustafur closing on me and Sparklehead83 Mustafur passed Sparklehead83 at the Parabolica, and they seemed to have a slow exit because they did not catch any of my slipstream till right at the end of the straight. I managed to hold off Mustafur and Anon666 until the Parabolica when they both came up my inside and passed me. I had planned to pit at the end of the lap and I thought seriously about it but I had a good hold of their slipstream and I did not want to lose touch with them. I should have pitted. Mustafur drafted past Anon666 and was alongside near the braking point. I was planning to follow Mustafur through but before I could peel to the inside, Anon666 braked a little early to avoid a side by side run with Mustafur through Curve Grande and I clipped his rear which sent me first to the grass and barrier on the inside, then with no front grip straight across to the outside and into the gravel. I ran along the outside edge in the grass to stay out of everyones way and by the time I rejoined the track, Sparklehead83, S_CLOSE, TTR_Joe90 and emmo46 were past me and a long way off in the distance. I passed a skidding S_CLOSE at the Parabolica and pitted end of lap 5. I had a weird pit entry and warped back behind S_CLOSE as he pitted at the same time. We exited the pits like that and S_CLOSE had a slow entry into Ascari, but I touched the gravel halfway through and let him get away again. TTR_Joe90 came out of the pits in between us on lap 7, and on the next lap drafted past S_CLOSE on the main straight. S_CLOSE got back past into Ascari but not enough room for me to take advantage of TTR_Joe90's slow entry. They switched positions again at the end of the main straight but again not enough room for me to follow through. S_CLOSE tried a move on TTR_Joe90 around the outside at Variante de la Roggia but had to drop back when he was outbraked, then he tried again at Lesmo but had to drop back behind and then once more at Ascari with no joy. We both ran too hot into Parabolica which let TTR_Joe90 get away slightly but we managed to claw him back in the slipstream. S_CLOSE got past before Curve Grande but I ran side by side with TTR_Joe90 and outbraked him on the outside at Variante de la Roggia. Got a little sideways out of the Lesmo corners and TTR_Joe90 come past at Curva del Serraglio, but I managed to outbrake him at Ascari, and on exit he ran wide into the gravel and gave me a chance to get away. I set my sights on S_CLOSE for the last lap but he slowly pulled away and I finished 6th. Nurburgring Nordeschleife Another track I was really looking forward to but my ISP had other plans. Dropped out twice in the 10 minute practice session, and then when the race started I was taken out by bjh1012 and there was a chorus of voices saying I was lagging very badly so I pulled over and left the race. I watched from the lounge but was very disappointed not to be taking part. It was still a very entertaining race to watch. emmo46, bjh1012, S_CLOSE, Sparklehead83, Anon666, Mustafur and TTR_Joe90 emmo46, Mustafur, bjh1012, Anon666 and TTR_Joe90 Anon666, TTR_Joe90 on a wide line, bjh1012, Mustafur and emmo46 Mustafur, Anon666 and TTR_Joe90 on the final straight, last lap Had some great battles with some higher and lower division guys, and I think I was lucky to come in second for my division in the end. Thanks to everyone who participated for making this series as fun and interesting as it was with all the different cars and tracks, and big thanks to emmo46 for his efforts organizing this brilliant event. Looking forward now to series 12, and N64TheStig007's SOO whenever we can get that run. Another great report Ad, I really enjoy them and appreciate the time and effort you put in. It was a shame for you to miss out on the ring race, you were probably looking forward to that most of all. I hope to put something similar together either for GT5 later in the year or in GT6. There are lots of cars that I would love to race with.
That mess at the first turn at Monaco was because I got a punt in the back from Overdrivve which sent me straight ahead to the barriers.
