We will start to fill the PROVISIONAL grids over the next few days......as always, with new entries things can and do sometimes change quickly.....
Alright guys.....the OP has been updated a little, will get the driver lists and other regs updated in the next few days.... We are narrowing down the track lists, and are looking at a few different things to mix it up a little....thanks for your patience The biggest announcement at this stage is that MEET AND GREET will be on the 1st May.......BYE ON MOTHERS DAY - 8TH MAY with ROUND 1 on the 15th MAY. We have changed the start date based on the number of members who had indicated they wouldnt be able to make with the mothers day clash. Sorry for the late notice. Stay tuned for further announcements. Stu - mod team
Looking to be some good racing across the entire field .... except for @garyw61.... he needs to be pushed up to Div2 to give himself some better competition
If Gary stays it is almost a given that he should host... Has provided the most reliable platform of anybody... if you need a room captain I can partner with some of the other long timers
All still very provisional guys. We are boarder line 3 divs, so have set up based on all entries showing and a few yet to get back to us.
alright guys.....if you have looked in the OP you would have noticed that the tire wear for this season will again be on X2. Basically the car is very easy on its tires, those who punish the crap out of them will be pitting for the COMPULSORY stop at, say, half race, at which time your tires wont be below 'about' 70% anyway, you still have heaps of grip.... The strategy plays will be the following - look after tires and make stop without taking fresh tires and save time in pits, struggle towards end of race - go harder on tires and change at a time that your longer stint still leaves some rubber to fight at the end. The obvious difference this season the the compulsory stop, so it makes the window much smaller for all drivers, hopefully closing the gaps between the cars. Hope that makes sense, we will post up any pit stop information when we get closer to the meet and greet so everyone (in all divs) has a clear understanding of what will work.
I am not sure if I can make it tomorrow night sorry. I have a British classics tour at Victor Harbour, and I have no idea when I will be getting home (and of course, there's a fairly good chance the MG will break down some time during the day!)
Sorryguys, will not be able to make the meet and greet, will send out friend requests to those that are not already and will see everyone next week.
So with Gary out, who's going to be hosting tonight? I will do my best to make it even if it's only for a little bit...
@garyw61 , @George , @Kart-No-1 , @SPL Racing , @Ad2mny , @SuiCid3 , @VARDZ , @fezza , @Rod , @webnomad , @Stiffsht , @Ryzza5 , @agolfer78 , @VENDALISM, @NZ_LOW Ok guys, track list has been released in the OP. Thanks to everyone who has helped with the setup, great effort from all involved and it should give us some cracking racing in this car. The driver list is still provisional, we will finalise in the week before round 1, however it has to be said that there will be very minimal changes to what is listed. As always, we would love a season incident free, please remember to respect your fellow racers, and respect what we are trying to achieve with our leagues. If you can confirm your host after tonight would be good and i will update the OP so everyone knows who to look for ! Wishing everyone a great season, and hopefully all the talk is about great "racing" Cheers Mod team
Thanks for the quick races last night, was good to be back into a virtual cockpit again pretty impressed with the car choice, a very smooth ride even with stock/minimal tune.
