FEMIB being F#$% Everyone My Idea is Better. There's lots of variety in GT6, so before it comes to an end this is your chance to make a race of anything of your choosing, literally anything. Simple or complex doesn't matter. What I want you to do is fill out the race and room settings below. You have 20 minutes worth of racing to fill, so that way we can fit 3 or 4 ideas per night. 90 to 120 min total. Dates: TBC After Season 11. Possibly on Sundays as alternative to season 12 I've included a few "special conditions" to spice up the racing if you wish to choose them. Open to more ideas, so throw them at me. Special Conditions Cockpit View: No Hud: Clutch: Since not everyone has clutch, there will be a small weight penalty. Joker Laps: Using track extensions (eg Tsukuba), short cuts, 360 degree turns etc. Handicaps: Time, Weight and Tyre. Multi class racing: 2 races, with the field split evenly into both classes. Race 1 is a normal race. Race 2 is a timed start based on the finishing order in race 1. (eg LMP1 & GTE) Competition Caution: Caution at half way Competition Caution + pit: 4th and lower have the option to pit for newer tyres. Compulsaty Pit Stops: Rolling Start: Fuel Economy Challenge: Team Race: Race Settings Cars: Tracks: Races: 20 min / 10 & 10 / 6 & 14 Qualifying: Tyres: Special: Tuning: Yes / No / or Limited to (Suspension, Brakes, Transmission, Drivetrain, Power, Weight, Downforce and Flatfloor) PP: HP: Weight: TC: ABS: Room Settings Time: Time Progression: 1 to 60 Weather at Race Start: 0 to 100 Weather Changibilty: Fixed / 1 to 60 Surface water: 0 to 100 Boost: Off / Weak / Strong Penalty: None / Weak / Strong Tyre/Fuel Depletion: Normal / Fast / Very Fast / Off Grip Reduction: Real / Low Visible Damage: On / Off Mechanical Damage: None / Light / Heavy Slipstream: Real / Weak / Strong Skid Recovery: Yes / No ASM: Yes / No Active Steering: Yes / No Driving Line: Yes / No Nitrous: Yes / No
FYI @warrior2167 after S11, I will be running a series on Sunday night JGTC 2000 to fill the gap until S12 in the new year. Nice idea though
When you lose you virginity, I might consider it... Might be too much car too handle for such a pussy.....
Fuel economy challenge: 1-make race Very fast wear Before the race, determine the number of laps that can be run before fuel runs out, then add a lap. Probably better with shorter tracks/thirstier cars.
@BMWF30328 should have a few ideas under his sleeve... Also @Nathancarhead's suggestion in another thread could work here too:
I am thinking of an event where one of the crap cars I have used for street series is used with the even crapper tune I put on it to see if they are actually race-able. qually with my tune then 2 minutes to make it better before race start or something similar
Good Concept Dave. Got lots of ideas. Perhaps the one that I would most like to try is this. Everyone in identical cars. Tuning would be permitted for gearing only. Fuel depletion would be set too fast. Race time would be 20 minutes and the winner is the driver that gets the furthest at the end of the 20 minutes. The second idea I have is a "team" event where drivers pair up. One driver is in a 500 PP car on SS. The second driver is in a 300 pp car on RS. No tune. Two races. First race is 10 mins. Points are awarded as per TITTS - but there a bonus points based on the race time difference of each pairs result. 10 points for 30 seconds, 8 points for 30-60 seconds, 5 points for 60-90 seconds, 3 points for 90-120. 1 point for more than 120 seconds. Second race is reverse grid but same rules and points applies. Meanwhile in other really important news, I did some "Sean Handyman" work on my wheel "frame mount"...for those who don't know my craftmanship...well it is craftman...anyway my frame used to teeter from side to side as I sawed at the wheel, making it "interesting" to drive and race...especially with higher powered cars or twitchy cars that liked to step out alot. Well today I MacGyvered it..which is code for I'm a tight arse and I recycled bits of my old study desk to jimmy the thing up and now it is stiff and does not move.....for now anyway. Not sure if it will improve my pace but it certainly will remove one significant distraction.
Ok, Similar to what bryan said earlier, but from I gather it would be well short, if you drove at 100% instead of a lap or two. Nice one.
