Up until recently I've been using the old
Fanatec Porsche/CSR Shifters when driving certain road cars in GT Sport. Unfortunately mine decided to snap off in the middle of an FIA race while battling with
@MINT_GTR , so that's given me the push to finally upgrade. I've used the
CSS SQ V1.5 heaps at work so I know it's got a solid feel to shifting gears, but I really don't use it often enough to justify its $330pp price tag.
So here is my solution - I call it the 'Logitec F Shifter':
It looks just like a Logitech G Shifter but with a PS/2 plug because it is, with some minor rewiring and small internal modifications.
All for the low price of about $50 (HN and EB sales) + your cable of choice (PS/2 or RJ12; PS/2 plug is for backwards compatibility, but is easily converted to an RJ12 plug with an adapter for the current generation of Fanatec wheel bases).
I bet any handyman with a working G25/G27 Shifter and a few spare hours could also do the same conversion.
