Idea for a community race: FIA 2018 redo.
Basically, run some of the same races and settings as we're used in the FIA 2018 Nations Cup. For example, races where you have to use each tyre compound at least once. Makes for some interesting strategies and races. See below for details. And if you haven't done already, check out the European Repechage race (2:11:09 on video), bloody spectacular.

    European Finalists Selection
    19/10/2018
    European Final - Block A
    17:36 on video
    Gr.3
    Circuit de Sainte-Croix - A
    14x tyre wear
    3x fuel
    6 laps
    Rolling start
    Racing Soft, Medium, Hard
Must use each tyre type at least once9

    European Final - Block B
    50:52 on video
    Gr.3
    Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit
    14x tyre wear
    3x fuel
    14 laps
    Rolling start
    Racing Soft, Medium, Hard
Must use each tyre type at least once

    European Final - Block C
    1:28:44 on video
    Gr.3
    Autodrome Lago Maggiore
    14x tyre wear
    3x fuel
    10 laps
    Rolling start
    Racing Soft, Medium, Hard
Must use each tyre type at least once

    European Final - Repechage Block A / B
    2:11:09 / 2:32:37 on video
    Gr.B
    Red Bull Ring
    9x tyre wear
    2x fuel
    9 laps
    Rolling start
    Sports Hard

Depending on where the Dallara Super Formula is ranked.. and if we can have custom livers I think it would make a rad car for a future season :)

As long as it doesn’t get ruined by crappy tyre wear like the GT500 season I’m all for it, looks like a hoot to drive!

Hey, random question: How long after this season does the new one kick off?

we run 1 season per school term
so next one will probably be meet n greet the last weekend of school holiday and then round 1 the first sunday after week one of school (except in the case of nationwide long weekends)

    idea:
With the super formula open-wheeler, full damage season.
but what about lap 1 or lag damage ruining your race?
well, how about 2 mandatory pitstops (1 in sprint races - 3 or 4 in enduro). This way, if you have to pit for damage, you are only disadvantaged by the time loss of the accident and damaged lap time until pitting, as others will have to pit anyway.
    but what about tyre wear?
well, let's keep it at x1 so it isn't an issue, and use the one compound.

Heavy damage worked fine in WET, should be fine for this. Solid idea, +1

Like heavy damage. Like mandatory pit stops. I prefer the higher tyre wear multipliers though. Combined with 2 mandatory pit stops then the argument could be made to go even higher on the multiplier, e.g 4x-5x. I think it would also mix things up if you had to use each tyre compound at least once (though policing that could be an issue)

Not a fan of full dmg. Been on the receiving end of way to many bumps or self inflicted accidents for it to make the game enjoyable. One of the major reasons I didn't enjoy the Endro series last year. But maybe I was just a green racer that might be better now days

I do enjoy the higher wear as I am not bad on tyres. But some problems with this include:
-only 1 or 2 laps have a chance of being the FL
-if you receive a tap that makes you slide any of the tyres, the wear they receive from that is also multiplied

full damage (lifelike) is better than massive tyre wear (tyre manufacturer fail) IMHO. you live with the punts and castigate the punter on socials

I like the idea of a "push to pass" fuel depletion setting

As in low fuel start, and high fuel depletion? Excuse my lack of understanding :p

Full starting fuel but something that requires a minimum 1 fuel stop on fuel map 2. That means if you want to push to overtake (fuel map 1), you'll need to plan it out and be sure you can either pit again to top up fuel or save like mad to make it. (beau cant save fuel)

I like it. @deedz_aus mentioned this previously, where basically have enough fuel to finish the race (with a pit stop) on fuel map 3. So you can go aggressive and have to pit again etc, or save fuel.

Exactly what you mentioned. I like it.
