    Looks like a T-GT and a CSL-DD had a baby

Well i know what i'll be getting for GT7. T-GT II gonna flop if this is as good as it seems. DD is certainly the now, not the future

Well going off of the CSL DD previews we had from guys like Boosted Media I'm pretty certain it's going to kill the belt drive market. I still have 2 months until mine arrives...

TG-T II is set to fail spectacularly with this announcement. Keen to see how a direct drive wheel feels on Gran Turismo and other games once this baby comes out. €700 is the estimate price tag, cheaper than the TG-T II as well.
My current TG-T is still going strong despite the dials glitching so I’m not going to rush out and buy it, but boy it looks enticing.

I almost pulled the trigger on a Podium F1 yesterday...but couldn't come to terms with the price tag! It is so tempting, but will save my pennies for now!

Might be a good thing that you didn't. This guy reckons that the CSL DD is better and he's owned a DD1 for a year.

Full reviews are dropping today, everyone seems to agree that it's an excellent wheelbase.

For what it's worth I have read that while it is a good Direct Drive wheel (ergo an improvement over belt/gear wheels), it is not optimised for GT Sport like the Thrustmaster T-GT currently is.

So you likely won't get the full benefit until GT7 is released.

For what it's worth, from about 2 hours of practice I can tell that out of the box this is a good wheel, but on GT Sport it seems to be missing a bit of "feel" when the tyre moves across the track (compared to the Thrustmaster T-GT which is not a DD wheel).
As there is no option to configure settings for the CSL DD Pro in-game I am inclined to believe that this is an issue with GT Sport's API/software side as opposed to the wheel itself. This should not be an issue with GT7.
I haven't tested it out with any other sim (nor did I use the T-GT with any other sim platform) so I can't comment on that for now.

Go for the Fanatec DD1 PS version. Only $2K at the moment! I paid closer to $3K ;)

If you can't stretch it that far, I use a Thrustmaster T-GT 2 with the T-LCM pedals and don't find anything lacking.
