Hey guys Rarley but from time to time my DFGT out of nowhere completley cuts all FF but for some reason it attempts to recalibrate when it loses ff, and when it finishes the calibration it still remains without ff, it's becoming increasingly annoying and im sick of it happening in league races because eventually im going to cause a pile up which i almost managed in a Sierra league tonight. Help? All cords are in properly and the actual power cord is the only thing in that entire socket
Maybe it is overheating. Do they have screws you can undo? Maybe it just needs a good dust out? I have one too so would be interested to know if you can sort it out.
My wheel has lost all input form the wheel two times now in the last week or so. Never happened before. Pedals still work, have throttle and brake controll, but no steering input. The GT light went out as well. Unplugged and plugged back in the usb cord and was all good. Might have to look at opening mine and giving it a dust out as well.
The reason I ask is that unpowered USB Hubs tend to cause issue with the wheel recognising the data from the PS3, and can dupe it into thinking the PS3 has re-booted. I had the same issue a year or two back, and ran the wheel straight off the PS3 without an issue since.
Yap, i just gave it all a cleaning, i noticed a gear thingy ( Yes this is as far as i go with engineering lol ) was really loose though, i tightened it, but not a clue what it's changed lol, feels the same
I have never had this issue with mine but I have had it open for a look see. Found that u can hard mount it fairly easily as well.
Yeah, wires had little bits of it everywhere, reccomend you check yours out too, but wasnt enough in MY opinion to cause a problemo
Heres a pic on how to hard mount your DFGT. Once you pull it apart you need to remove the plastic clamps that currently hold it in place. Drill a small pilot hole where shown on the pic through your dfgt and your current mount for your wheel. Then you can remove the metal tabs and make the hole bigger as they take a 4mm bolt.
