Bummed about getting the disappearing track glitch half way through the race. Never had that happen before. I tried to keep going to see if the track would reload itself, but no luck. Had a 6.6 second lead when that happened, was getting a little scrappy in the previous 2 laps with a spin in the previous chopping 4,5 seconds out of my lead. Had I been able to continue and keep it on track with no further major errors, I may have won the damn thing! Oh well.
Well done Moon, I thought I was doing well improving my times by 2 seconds a lap since round 1, but 4 seconds, that's amazing, well done.
I didn't realise I improved that much. With wear off, I managed to do pretty consistent laps too, except when I was behind someone and went off track a number of times Bad luck disturbo. I might have caught up with you if you made more mistakes .
With wear off, you usually go a little faster anyways. I bettered my time by over 2 seconds. I was preparing for 16 qualifying laps. That was playing on my mind my friend, always at the back of my mind. One more smallish spin would of had you right behind me, a big off into some sand or facing the wrong way would have had you sail on by. Congratz though bud, you drove it well. And good on ya Emmo for picking up the final podium!
Nah, I missed the final podium by about 4 tenths, Easy's second image is from earlier in the last lap. I was still in 3rd as we braked for the bus stop on the last lap and Tanky went for the right and Holdenman went for the left. I thought Tanky was gone when he oversteered through the the right hander and looked to heading in the opposite direction to the finish line. Holdenman hung on around the outside of the righthander but had to hold a tight line over the ripple strips on the left hander. I gingerly accelerated for the finish line trying not to spin up the tyres and managed that. Holdenman on his very tight line over the inside ripple strips lit up his tyres and nearly spun. Somehow Tanky got it pointed back to the finish line and rocketed around the outside of the lefthander to take the podium spot. The last couple of laps were a lot of fun as I battled to hold them out.
Well that was always going to be tough. Having to catch 4 secs a lap I really didn't think would be possible, but still I thought Id give it a crack. Got lucky with holden and tanky battling letting me take 1 into the bus stop and 1 on the exit. Had a moment Stavelot, which allowed then battling duo to catch back up, but they fortunately weren't close enough to make any moves. My pace was decent, but I was only taking 2 secs a lap out of the lead. Then it dropped by 6-7. I might have a chance! Then turboed dropped out I was never going to catch you mate. Alas, with evil taking over the lead, it still only continued to drop at 2 odd secs a lap. Caught emmo, who I managed to get past at la source without losing too much time. Then I had a big spin drifting campus and emmo was back through. Caught back up, but this time it was far from easy to get by emmo! Holden caught up and now it was a 3 way battle. I got suckered into the grass at blanchimont at 300+ clicks. Had a quiet reflective time thinking what I should do while passenger, decided to try and save it best I could. Kept it straight as I could and slowly reduced the speed. Some how I got back onto the track without hitting any walls, behind emmo and still in front of holden! Reminded myself my tires were dirty, cautious through la source, tried a few moves on emmo, but couldnt make it stick. Finally he went wide at Pouhon and I was through! Back into clean air and 55s for final lap, but only caught up another second. Evil did you crack into the 56s? Very impressive drive. Well done mate
Yeah the first time you caught me I knew I couldn't hold you for the remaining four laps so didn't really resist, when you gave me a second chance at a podium I got a little more enthusiastic as holding you out for 2 laps might have been on. My wiggle at Pouhon was unfortunate for me but it was a lot of fun over those last couple of laps. The bus stop on the final lap was hectic with Tanky and Holdenman trying to pass me on each side at the same time.
It's only no wear pace It's likely with no fuel as well. Thanks! I only managed 57.2 which is already more than I had hoped for.
No wear includes fuel too Moon, so you had a full tank the whole race. I averaged in the 57's i think, dipping into the 56's once or twice. Last couple of laps before the road went invisible were a bit ordinary though.
