It’s back!!! A central hub for drivers from all divisions to post any tips and tricks they may have picked up for the season, each week once the track list is announced I will aim to put up a hot lap video of each track so that any one who may be struggling can have a look at how to get around the track. Of course if you want to post your own hot lap video for lower div’s to look at or if you’ve simply found a way around the track that’s better/faster than mine than feel free to put it up. This thread should hopefully also get used for discussions about tyre wear/fuel wear for each track we visit so that those of us with less time on out hands aren’t disadvantaged by less practice and thus no idea strategy wise. Cheers Guys, looking forward to what people can bring to the table here to help everyone out Rhino
ah crap, thought i had it on my phone but i dont....Will send to you tonight From memory i am on the following, but will still confirm flavour - Immersive gain - 75 volume - 60 tone - 55 FX - 35 spring - 0.2 I had the FX up on about 65 but it was giving me vibrations on centre in a straight line. When i lowered it was good after that I am also full 100% on calibration, (turn to the left full lock) and 90* the other way.
I think it gives you the required to get home + a few liters with tuning set to default... i haven't even been into a tuning room to see what the options are to start with a light load.... All i know is the Renault is a beast to handle with a heavy fuel load. The 6 lap races have been great to find a quick lap but the full fuel load is something much different
pretty sure we will get home, one of the reasons i wanted everyone to run a full distance tonight...see if any glitches pop up between rooms, check tyre wear, etc etc etc
Will try my best to get a hot lap up by Friday...record tonight, edit tomorrow and upload tomorrow night Seems this is a tricky track to get right, with the final turn, I would personally sacrifice a bit of corner entry and mid corner speed in favour of a good exit, otherwise it’ll hurt you alllllllll the way down the straight. The long right hander is tricky as the left hander before it is quite fast, I from practice in pre-season carry as much speed as I can through the left and take a diamond approach to the right turn, you can pick up the throttle pretty early if you modulate it correctly so keep that in mind. Some more tips and brake points in the hot lap video
Sorry about the late upload and lack of pointed out brake points like last season, school and work got the better of me (only 1 week left of school this year woooo) Pay attention to the speedo bottom right, you can pick the throttle up pretty early most corners and also being in the right gear helps massively. I did run a little wide at T2, also out of the hairpin after 100R. Missed the apex through second last turn and ran wide in the last one!!! Far from a perfect lap but still plenty to be learnt if you’re struggling I hope. Any questions on how to approach a corner just fire away and I’ll help ya out as much as i can Lap Time-1:39.2
