A bit more practice Friday night and watching enzos track lap has helped get my time down to a 3.19 almost a 3.18. I think I will still be off the pace from most in div 2 but at least I won't be hopelessly slow now. It's a big wide track. I think I'm braking too much and not keeping my momentum.
if you guys end up starting early and anyone misses out because they are late, div 1 should be starting on time and may have space you could jump into. Just let me know
I sent a PM yesterday to those that hadn't responded to the early start suggestion. We still have nine that haven't responded.
If anyone is having a little touble waiting for the home menu screen to load I have found a nice little solution. Turn off connection to internet in the systems network menu. Then start the game. It will say no network connection blah blah, but it will load the menu straight away. Then just turn the internet connection back on in the systems network menu. Then reconnect in the GT main menu. It should connect immediately
Since there are no objections, we are starting at 8pm AEDT. That is, in about 25 mins. For those that miss the start, you can join the div1 race that is starting at 8:20. Do message Hat
Quali Had an outstanding first lap trying to keep up with emmo which I think really helped me. Qualified 3rd on grid. Could not replicate that lap for the whole race though. Race Had an ordinary start and some cautious corners really poured on the pressure on myself with fubbles all over the back of me. I managed to cover him off just but was nervous if I could keep myself consistent. I eventually composed myself a little and managed to slowly pull away from the pack behind me. Then naacs managed to find his way through that very pack and he set his sights on me. Every damn lap he'd gain on me in the 3rd sector. No matter what I tried I just couldn't get the 3rd sector right. Once he caught me we had a good battle for a few laps and he eventually passed me on the main straight after an ordinary exit. I tried to keep up with him but he was just too strong in the final sector for me. He slowly crept out of my reach and a few dodgy corners later from me, he was 10seconds down the road. I managed to creep a few seconds back in the final stint on mediums with the low fueled car really agreeing with me. But it was too little too late. Great racing naacs. Too good. Gtking and emmo had a great race too and had blistering speed. Well done to the both of you! Emmo once again showing his enduro prowess.
3 has decent numbers. both 1 and 2 could have fit together tonight the tables will still be kept separate however
No. Don’t ruin Div2. If nobody wants to race in Div1 why should div2 be penalised. Fix your own house before you try to break ours. I don’t think div1 has the right to dictate what happens in div2.
