    DRIVERS DEBRIEF & FINAL RESULTS - RACES 1 & 2 @ ALGARVE
Congrats once again to everyone involved for some great racing on Saturday night, this debrief is an explanation of everything that has happened since. The stewards are myself, V8, TB & Familiar.

Protest #1 was lodged by Sparky on Johndog for unredressed contact which was confirmed by the stewards. John was given a 30 second time penalty, which was a time equivalent to a drive through penalty. John rejected the stewards findings & did not elect to have the matter forwarded on to Stu, acting as Grand High Marshall of this series.

Protest #2 was a general protest lodged by Johndog for track limits.
Grace was given to everyone for Race 1 to come to terms with the cars & the setups & how they handled when being pushed to the limit & in traffic.

For Race 2, the off track excursions of the top 10 drivers we're logged, 59 in all. Most of these occurred on the exit of T1 but also happened on the exit of T4, between T7 - 8 & also on the exit of the last corner T15.
    Individual tally is as follows:
    Woody 11, Brett 11, Hoppy 10, JJ 8, Sparky 7, Blue 6, Tuddy 4, TB 3, me 2, Johndog nil.
10 second time penalties were issued to Woody, Brett & Hoppy. Severe warnings were going to be issued to the next 3 drivers on that list, JJ, Sparky & Blue, I just hadn't got a chance to do it yet.
It was established that without the throttle inputs & delta times in the replays, it is impossible to establish how much of a gain, if any, is incurred from each instance. No one was suspected of intentionally cutting corners by the stewards.

However, as Johndog has now been officially confirmed to have left the series as of this morning, all protests have now been dismissed entirely & the 3 penalties issued so far have been rescinded (Woody, Brett, Hoppy).

Johndog has now been excluded from all results which are as follows:

    Race 1:
    1. Nige
    2. JJ
    3. Benny
    4. Blue
    5. Woody
    6. Brett
    7. TB
    8. Tuddy
    9. Sparky
    10. Max
    11. Coxy
Pole position: Woody. Fastest lap: Nige.

    Race 2:
    1. Nige
    2. Woody
    3. Blue
    4. Benny
    5. Tuddy
    6. JJ
    7. TB
    8. Sparky
    9. Max
    10. Familiar
Pole position & Fastest lap: Nige

    These results are now final.

The teams & individual drivers tables will be posted as soon as I work out how to do a partial screen capture shot of the sweet new tables we've got from Bounty.

I'll be going into much greater depth about the track limits situation in the drivers brief for the Spa race. What we learnt is that there was way too much of it going on & that everyone is now on notice that if you exceed track limits more than twice in any race, you will be issued with a time penalty. It's as simple as that.

    in other news...
a few of us we're talking about staying on with ps5 when it comes out rather than going pc or iraging. ACC may be a good game to try for next years racing, out on June 23 with bonus DLC included with a pre order. we thought we'd get it, try it out for a week & send it back for a full store credit if it's shyte

ok I've amended the results in the above debrief to include Benny in race 1 who was omitted for technical reasons, there was nothing intentional & no penalties will be issued! congrats Benny on a fine podium
we'll get the tables up as soon as we can fellas, in the meantime, get cracking on your spa setups, we had a good sized group in a room last nite & will be on again tonite for more of the same

you raise an interesting question... are we going to include drivers who are dsc'd in the final results as per Sunday leagues? or do we make it that you have to get to the fat lady in order to score mullah?
